If only we had more laws that will fix everything. And when it doesn't we just need more laws.

Actually this nation started off with just a small handful of laws. The goal of our founding fathers was self governance. There are a lot of people that I have met on the far right that are pushing for anarchy because they don't think people will ever be free as long as there is a government of any kind.

I am not one of those people but I certainly understand where they are coming from. BTW these are real anarchists or as they call themselves "voluntaryists". Not the Antifa kind of anarchists whose goal is to bring down all governments and replace it with a global Communist government.

It is just a pipe dream but I would love to see our government go back to the size it was when George Washington was president. With the same number of laws. Maybe a few more to handle some of the things that have come about with newer technology. They certainly didn't have to worry about cyber crime back then.

There are two things that must happen if you want a great and prosperous nation. The people must be free and they must be moral (i.e. self governing). If you take one or both of those things away then prosperity ends. Both of those things are nearly completely gone today and they are being pushed farther and farther out of society. So guess what's about to happen next? First a very high crime rate (we're not there yet because currently crime is actually on the decrease) followed by so much governmental control to stop the crime that we look more like the Soviet Union than the United States.

Laws make criminals. People labeled criminals will be more likely to be criminals in other ways.

Why wouldn't they? It's the law, right?

HR 127 is a nightmare. What abt all those dems that say requiring a voter ID is voter suppression? This would be 10x harder to do just to exercise your right to bear arms.

Don't forget about there other rules like mask mandates, hate speech etc... I see this behavior more from pant saggers than from conservatives.

The short answer is no, they won’t. Which leaves the rest of us to pick up the slack as usual. But they can’t make me buy insurance on a gun that I don’t have, they can’t make me take training that I have already taken, they can’t make me pay fees that I have already paid.

Of course not, but it’s about control not safety. They want to ensure the people can never rise against tyranny.
