Simply saying that it doesn't mean anything without a conviction, no more than someone filing an indictment against you. If it doesn't get a conviction, it is only accusations...that fail. An impeachment that is merely a vote along party lines isn't saying anything. If you got something, arrest him and throw him in prison. If not...a "hands up if you think he's guilty" is the farthest cry from a legitimate Justice system I can think of.

The only result would have been Trump being barred from office nothing actually criminal that is yet to be seen

I have heard about that "testing standards changed" on inauguration day thing... They said the same thing in December. But let's say the inauguration day "change" was the only time it was ever claimed.... how long do you suppose effects of that alleged change would take place? The same day? A day later? A week after? The timeline of cases does not seem to match up with that at all. The overall nationwide decline in new daily cases began more than a week prior the inauguration/that announcement. And as far as I can tell that change or memo or whatever it was literally made no change in the numbers at any time.

Moderna and Pfizer wanted something that would be relatively safe and effective asap.. maybe 2 doses achieved that quicker than trying to figure out a single dose solution would have.... I hear J&J has developed a single dose vaccine but it is less effective than either the Moderna or Pfizer ones and i don't think it has been approved.

As far as masks I'm assuming they'd rather have people wear 2 cheap masks than have em buying up N95 health care workers might need.

As far as the USNS Comfort hospital ship....... there was a palpable fear that hospitals would be overflowing with Covid patients at the time. New Daily covid cases had skyrocketed from:
122 cases on March 15th to
4,805 on March 24th.

A pretty insane amount to increase in 9 days. Nobody knew where it was going. The stock market was also taking a massive sh*t. People were freaking out.. but ya March 25th, Cuomo unfortunately decided to initiate the nursing home directive.

The USNS Comfort as well as the largest of the many field hospitals which were scrambled to get set up in NY, the Javits center, (which had a max capacity of ~3,000 patients if necessary) did not arrive/get completed until March 30th, 5 days after his nursing home directive.

Was about 10 days later the daily Covid case count had already peaked though and then began to decline... Which is lucky as far as humanity but horrible as far as optics.

To be fair, Cuomo could've immediately re-routed the Covid recovering patients to the USNS Comfort and various field hospitals when they were made available but we're talking about covid patients who had been discharged from the hospital (possibly thought to have been not contagious or less contagious(?) idk)... Also from what I have read the USNS Comfort had not originally been set up to receive Covid patients, it had been set up to receive typical non-covid related hospital patients/injuries.. to relieve hospitals of having to deal with them. However, due to lockdowns and staying at home, typical injuries a hospital might otherwise see had declined so ya the ship was pretty empty.

Somewhat off topic but it also seems somewhat interesting to me that roughly 2 weeks after his nursing home directive began, Covid daily cases in NY had peaked and began coming down. Covid symptoms might not even appear for 2 weeks so idk.. seems counterintuitive that 2 weeks after initiating the nursing home thing, the NY cases began decreasing...... But I guess its possible that cases outside of nursing homes were declining at a faster rate than they were increasing within them.. possibly masking the negative effect of the horrible idea that it was. Idk.. just a theory.

Just a few hundred, if that.
