I am going to have to agree with you, Al. I'm not a republican, nor a democrat, and I'm so close to wishing the democrats take both GA seats, just so there will be no checks and balance in the next govt. That would put democrat craziness on full display for the entire nation.

When either party has total control, it can lead to some pretty crazy bullshit. It goes both ways; Trump didn't have enough of a secure republican majority in his first two years, or who knows what craziness might have happened!

Well, anyone with half a brain knew they didn't plan on keeping Joe around for long. I expected that at about six months in, they would "suddenly" realize he's senile (even though he's been obviously senile for years) and go through the process (that they recently made sure to refine) to have him deemed incompetent. So now that it looks like he's in, they don't care about scandals. Perhaps they even want an excuse to impeach him since it won't, exactly, confirm the predictions and suspicions people had.

At this rate, you might be right. I had had expected them to hold off long enough to try and pretend it had developed after he was inaugurated, to maintain an appearance of legitimacy. But as of late, they don't even seem concerned with maintaining an appearance of legitimacy. If they can shout it down and get the media to nod in agreement, it never happened, even if everyone saw it. I wouldn't be surprised if they somehow retconed it to us having voted for Kamala, a year or so down the road.
