The more socialist you claim to be in words, the more capitalistic you are in actions.

As it turns out, shirts tend to be expensive when they're made by unionized workers in the US instead of by wage slaves in underdeveloped countries.

If the AOC camp wasn't profiting off those sales then you'd be correct. However, they gouge the prices since these are campaign contribution items. If she wanted to walk her talk she'd sell them at a net neutral price to do nothing but raise awareness for her cause.

Greed however, is a powerful tool.

AOC didn't gouge jackshit. Again, it's merch made by unionized workers domestically in the US instead of by wage slaves in underdeveloped countries. Gouging would imply that the price tag charging unnecessarily high prices. You read my response and chose to willingly ignore everything it said. And it's free for volunteers.

Dude, it says on her website that they are campaign contributions. That means her campaign is profiting off them, which means they're NOT selling them at the break-even point even after factoring in the higher cost of unionized labor.

People with low income jobs, the folks she's proclaiming to champion, can't afford those sweatshirts.
$58 buys a lot of food if you're frugal. Nor does everyone has the time to volunteer. The AOC campaign has made these unnecessarily expensive, because someone with her attitude about economics should not utilize blatantly capitalistic measures to rake in cash for a venture.

I'm not even knocking her policy here, just observing that she's being very hypocritical.

Making a profit is not price gouging. Again, price gouging implies unnecessarily high prices. God forbid a famous congresswoman tries to collect grassroots money to fund campaigns instead of using corporate PAC money. Oh the horror! Participating in society?!?!?!?!

Plus, this notion that she's hypocritical is patently absurd. She's helping the working class way the f**k more than any other person by utilizing American, union labor. If you can't afford the price tag, which is totally fine, then DON'T BUY IT. She's not forcing you to.

This obsession with trying to do cheap, petty gotcha's to AOC is extremely f**king annoying. Conservatives like you will literally take anything, grasp at any straw, and make mountains out of mole hills just to try and attack AOC. Like I don't mind criticism of her policies, but just don't make such trivial, snide remarks on literal nothingburgers.

So far as I can recall (check my comments if you wish to confirm, but my word is solid), this is the first or second time I've actually called AOC out for something specific. I'm also not saying it's a big deal. It's quite literally just me poking fun at someone I dislike. Unlike most people here I don't need to take every opportunity to carp on those I oppose.

Now, I understand everything you're saying loud and clear. All I'm pointing out is that she's utilizing "grassroots" capitalist strategies to fund a platform that claims to be socialist, which by definition disavows private property and markets.

I mean, you're basically criticizing her for participating in society. This would be like criticizing a "small-government" Republican for being in Congress, a big government institution. It's a very shallow, bad-faith critique. Plus, socialism isn't inherently anti-market (market socialism).

Haven't you ever heard of Market Socialism? The means of production (how shit's made) are run publicly or socially in a co-op within a market.

Not all forms of Anti-Capitalism are anti-market.

Only the stupid rich can afford her shirts.
You can get one for free if you volunteer with the program.
They are made in the USA.

Trump's merchandise is made in China and still overly priced, and you cannot get a free one.

Hm...so they exclude those who can't afford or earn them (think the dregs of society).

They give out free shirts to the elite who directly support them (think the ruling class in society).

They fund this by heavily taxing [charging $58] those who can't volunteer [rule] (think the average worker in society).

Sounds like the model which most socialist governments have adopted.

If you want to do something less hopeless than trying to make sense of hismomstoenail's ramblings, I suggest squaring the circle, writing down PI to the last decimal, or make Liberal politics work in practice. ;-)

Fake news. ZERO dead people voted. But go ahead and take those 7. Biden still wins by 6,999,993 votes.

But what does it has to do with the meme? We get you guys hate Trup, but why do you have to derrail the context of the actual meme you are posting under? Do you guys lack the intellectual capacity to provide a good argument while staying within the context?

If the conversation isn't about Trump then they've probably been deprived of 98% of their conversational points. It's much easier to discuss something about which you know a lot than research new material.

They do prove they have a blinded hate towards Trump. Wonder what Trump ever did to them... but thats getting out of context. My guess is, OAC is trying to find who buys her shirst to know who she can tax ROFL.

Lets review your statement. You are claiming that Republicans are Nazis as a response to me stating that OAC will never be president because she is not white nor male. I base my statement from history track record, which is factual. What are you basing your statement on? I am confused. If anything is the democrats who are closer related to the Nazis as they are trying to gain complete control of the nation by forcing shut downs and mandating people to things that are unconstitutional. But, enlighten me, let me hear your answer, why are republicans like the Nazis. Blow me away!
