Well, he made little attempt to stop it for a bit, till he started attacking individual states due to the economic impact. Everyone was pretty worried about what was happening. Most people know it was a mistake at this point, right and left. We had no idea what measured approaches would work and which would be too slow. A complete lockdown recovery was too slow and too painful.

I don't believe we'll see a complete lockdown from Biden either at this point. It took far too long for numbers to come down.

No goalpost shifting, calling to defund and dismantle the Police, shifting over a million in funding and attacking officers did the damage regardless of whether they voted it or not. The damage was done and homicide has soared. That and the resultant deaths are directly attributable to the city council and all the virtue signaling democrats who promoted it.

Not that it never happened, just not at the scale that the council proposed. 1.1 million was defunded from Minneapolis police, and just with that crime is already spiking sharply.
