I saw a meme a couple days ago. Probably still around the front page.
Basically its like this :- If we want to make a liberal happy, we have to bend over backwards, 8 ways from sunday and maaaybe they'll quiet down..
But If we want to make conservatives happy, they just have to shut up and stay in their own place..

I mean take this lil' site..
Lots of conservatives goin' about their day, 100s, no problems between us... then a couple liberals show up and wanna start somethin'
Liberals go somewhere else -- all is well
Liberals purposely come over here to start shit, shit takes place.
Pretty simple.

We ain't ever going to get along. Gone too far and the libs keep pushing for rules we don't want and showing up where they're not wanted.
Tell em' to go back to their blue states and stay there and everythings fine.

A dude with the sn “libsmash” arguing for liberals and conservatives to segregate from one another forever or else liberals should suffer the consequences (and then getting rewarded handsomely with upvotes for it) pretty much proves the exact point about division that the OP’s meme argues against.

I'd wager you are probably 1 of the top people on this site that makes conservatives dislike liberals. You are literally the cause of part of the division, at least on this site... And you complain about others.

Last site I was on was the same. We stayed 1 place and they stayed wherever the hell they were at and all was pretty ok, and on neutral sites things went fine.
But no, soon as we got to 2016 they couldn't help themselves. Always showing up tryin' to goad us, causing sh*t, p*ssing us off at every opportunity, just cant leave people alone -- its like if youre not one of them then they cant stand it, drives them crazy.
Apparently 99% of all major sites isn't enough --gotta get to 100% *rolls eyes*

“politics” allegedly leans right but it is a viewpoint-neutral stream and I intend to use it that way. Because, again, I genuinely believe that maintaining the ability to talk to each other across the aisle is critical. And oh yeah, I talk to other liberals here too.

90% of the time the conversation isn’t that great but I do get into productive, respectful conversations with those who think differently than myself more often than you might think.

I hope this election provides us all some occasion to think on where we’ve been and where we’re going, and the brinks we ought to step back from and avoid.

If you and some other righties can’t psychologically handle the presence of a liberal here perhaps that is your problem.
