It’s not under the guise of anything. They’re voting for people who will represent them, who they hope will have their best interest. As a white male, are you going to vote for AOC or Ilhan Omar? Doubtful. Look higher in government and you’ll see plenty of senators and representatives who look more like you do and are also responsible for those areas as well.
