It doesn’t surprise me that someone advocates this. It’s just not something that’s easily done like tearing a statue down. Also, the pyramids have historical significance because of their age and engineering feats. No one is going to miss any of those slaver statues.

Agreed about the historical significance. On a certain level my artistic sensibility isn't fine with the destruction of statues. Even if they're dedicated to flawed people there was an artist whom poured their talent into the piece. I would prefer move the statues to a museum and explain the history and why it was inappropriate to have them in the public court. But to just destroy them? I get the symbolism but it still hurts from a certain level.

You do realize that even small numbers make a huge difference when it comes to DNA. Human and chimpanzee difference (which, when I say chimpanzee, I mean exactly that, and not a racist term), for example, only differs by about 1.2%.

I majored in micro biology with an emphasis in genetics. You need to realize is doesn't matter if the president is white, black or orange. Doesn't matter if Jesus was purple or yellow. The content of one's character, not the pigment of their skin, is what matters.
