My daughter in law owns a salon, she had to close as it's not an essential business. She has never bitched about it because she understands doing something for the greater good sometimes means sacrifice. I really want a haircut, but I am not going to see her to protect her and my granddaughters. I miss them, but I would hate if anything happened to them if I was contagious, even if I felt fine. I am an essential worker and I have to meet and work close with about 100 hundred people (we make many films used in medical products). How many of them might be contagious and not know it?
This is why we social distance, why we shut down nonessential businesses to help prevent the spread to even more people. Yes it is a pain in the ass inconvenience, but I rather be inconvenienced for a few weeks or months than risk the lives of my fellow citizens. That is not being repressed or whatever the buzzword of the day is from the anti government types. Its about being part of a society.
