Two independent studies, one from USC and from Stanford, imply this very thing. That case count is under reported, which in turn over states the death rate.

When I say death rate, I mean its calculated against "confirmed cases"...you are absolutely correct that the overall mortality rate would be much much lower. NY just released a random sample surveillance test and they are also are estimating that as high as 21.2% of New York residents are positive for Covid-19.

Divide number of deaths by confirmed cases, move the decimal over 2 places to arrive at the percentage death rate. Currently at 0.1% and dropping, meaning its less deadly than the flu.

Basic high school science shows that water droplets can pass through regular cloth masks, meaning you aren't saving anyone. Not to mention most people aren't washing theirs or sterilizing between uses, so they are actually causing it to spread.

I literally saw an old woman out shopping with a mask on and it was a crocheted/knitted (not sure what you call it...the one with the little holes) and I wanted to tell her she wasn't doing anything to stop the spread of the virus. People have truly shown their ignorance during this virus.
