I feel the need to point out (separate from the discussion of this particular bill) that most Bill's are 99% pork. The more popular the bill, the more unnecessary add ons. Often just so the vote can be used for political posturing

Well, Feinstein and her crew have a point that containing the virus wherever it is found on earth is in everyone’s interest. It makes no sense to weaponize this issue. If Iran can’t contain the outbreak in their own country, then it will linger and inevitably spread again and then we’ll all be shutting down again.

The virus is an enemy of mankind that doesn’t recognize political affiliation, nationality, or borders (unless those borders are 100% sealed which is extremely hard if not impossible to do)

That said: perhaps we should focus relief efforts here at home first before going out of our way to help an adversary.
