Well no. We don't have shortages. We have supply chain issues. The US has more food in cold storage at this point in time than compared to any other recent year. What we have is a supply chain issue, the act of getting things from warehouses into stores fast enough. Socialist countries have no goods at all.

Well, the reality is that stores do not stock for panic buying, they only stock to meet the normal needs. We are right now experiencing panic buying because retards believing everything media tells them. The great thing about capitalism is that when panic shopping happens stores restock again, unlike the rest of the other economic systems.

Except we have a President who is now doing that very thing ...

Free socialism trial? Pffft! There is nothing free about socialism. Our kids and grandkids will end up footing the bill for the stimulus money we spend now.

I assume you've been to at least one of those countries, right skeptic? If so, you know that socialism isn't really what's the driver of their happiness.

Besides, if you can explain how we could scale-up the nordic model, so that it would work in this country, then I'm all ears. I've only been to two of these countries, but I can guarantee you one thing; the main difference is that their govts don't spend money like drunken sailors on shore leave, unlike our govt. Give our govt as much money, per capita, and watch them blow right through it faster than a coronavirus stimulus package.

One giant problem in implementing this is that ALL healthcare workers, would by definition have to become govt employees, with caps on their income. A cap on income is about as un-American as it gets, and probably wouldn't go over too well, with healthcare workers, or most other workers.

There are plenty of jobs in the public and private sector that have caps or ceilings. Moving healthcare into the public sector would mean that the people on the lower end of the ladder would at least get a living wage. They're the ones who do a lot of the work anyway.
