the only politicians I saw raising a stink was marco Rubio,tom cotton,mitt romney (mitt romney for f**k sakes!!!) and aoc.(there were a few other republicans but I forgot their names).

politicians like Pelosi,schumer and that slug of a f**k stick Lyndsey graham have diligently served their masters.

in my opinion,this health crisis has revealed and laid bare just how fragile our system actually is,and just how beholden both parties are to corporate and financial class.

the leadership of BOTH parties have revealed their disdain and disgust of the American worker.

and this turd of a bill,and how it held normal,everyday americans hostage,is a testament to how thoroughly our political class has been captured by big monied interest and power.

I'm unfamiliar with her, so my lazy ass needs to do some digging (skimmed through stuff now).

I was on playing on FB a lot for a couple of years, but couldn't take the drama and lies. The IRL acquaintances were bad enough, hate to think what my online associates are truly like.

Did have fun stirring the politic/religo shit up tho, this was 2015 through part of 2016.

At least here we can be honest assholes and not have to cover for so-and-so's idiocy because we're fweindz from tha neighborhood.

If Pelosi had points of contention with the bill she could of raised those issues. Instead she chose to respond with issues unrelated to the points your raise.

The first stimulus package was a (mostly) bipartisan bill. No Democrats voted against it. I was curious about the motivations of the 40 Republicans who did vote against it. 

We'll see what story the votes tell this time.

Again: I was only talking about the bill in its final form. Which had no abortion provisions.

So: Why did the 40 Republicans vote against it anyway? Several of them said it was because they were against "massive expansion of government."

But today: Everyone's in favor of big government. $2 trillion in bailouts for everyone. Yay!

In it's final form Democrats added provisions giving $25 million in funding for the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts and $75 million to each the National Endowment for the Arts and the National Endowment for the Humanities

That is why 40 Republicans voted against it.

But today you're against helping American citizens, Worried about how to pay their bills and feed their families. Yay! for KylieClown,You've proven you don't care about the middle class and the poor.

It's odd, A few weeks ago you claim you voted for Bernie Sander, King of handouts to American citizens too lazy to work.

But today you are against handouts to American citizens unable to work due to a pandemic.

You can stop wasting your time. I see no downvoted comments in this thread. I don't ever delete my comments unless I need to fix a typo or something and then I immediately repost them.

I didn't say anything about "handouts." What I assume you're referencing is this comment of mine above:

This remark was intended as sarcasm against anti-"big government" Republicans who are falling over themselves now to pledge $2+ trillion in assistance because they know it's necessary. I'm not against the bailout in principle. In fact, I strongly support it.

That’s one provision. It’s $2.2 trillion in total: that’s a lot of money, to both corporations and individuals. The stimulus bill is still necessary, and I support it.

Who in the House will vote against it? Thanks to Rep. Massie, who is forcing a recorded vote: we’re about to find out!
