As "noodzakelijk kwaad" (a typical Dutch term, which literally means "necessary evil"). It's needed as some means of a tradable item is needed to get stuff, as money is universal. I mean, if I can offer you a nice computer program, but all you can give me back is plastic surgery I don't want, we got a problem. Thanks to money I can still lend my service to a plastic surgeon and he can repay me with something I can use to get the stuff that actually *is* useful to me.
Frankly I hate money. It attracts thieves, and it corrupts the minds of many people. It's just that a fluent way to trade cannot exist without it, that I deem it needed. If I can have enough to make sure I can pay my rent, my food, and the other stuff I really need, and then a bit more so I can sometimes have some fun, it will do. I don't need to buy a big mansion, where I have to hire people to keep it clean as it's to big for me to do myself alone. What do I need a private jet for?
It does what it has to do, and the cons actually outrank the pros, but sometimes its necessary to accept that there are more cons than pros, due there's more than just cons and pros to decide stuff on.
