I agree that they need security. Hell, nowadays even my church has an armed security team. But I also have the right to defend my home and my family by any means that I feel are necessary should the need arise. If I want to place guns in biometric safes around my house and my .300 blackout behind the door I have every right and it’s my responsibility. I don’t need some politician telling me how to do things and trying to take away my rights a little at a time.

Any gathering needs some sort of security because there are wackos of all stripes out there wandering around in the wild. I saw a new member of our security team on Sunday and I quietly told my fiancé that he’s carrying a gun. He must have been new because he wasn’t concealing very well. Arming teachers works in some places but certainly isn’t a blanket fix.
