I also agree with this statement. This is why usually do not engage people because it is generally a waste of time. If I do not like your memes, I ignore it and move on. I just meme to not feel alone when people who agree post replies.

I will seriously engage in debates, even with trolls, if I think there is anything there to discuss. I get a few regular trolls who are fun to troll back, but most times a lot of people here who do engage in serious debates do it well enough for me to read and just upvote.

Though, I'm always happy to correct someone who occasionally gets their facts wrong.

It just seems a complete waste to have a Politics section and not utilize it for debate. Granted it's not an optimal platform but it's a pretty diverse pool in terms of ages.

Most trolls insult to get their arguments across. They frequently use ad hominems, which attack the arguer rather than the argument. I've already admitted to using ad hominems occasionally, but I am genuinely interested in different perspectives and willing to concede to fair points and sources when quoted.

I'm sure you've taken great offense to my posts and I apologize. I suppose if you're easily upset by them then you could easily come to the conclusion that I'm a professional troll. I, respectfully, disagree but you're very free to have that opinion.

All commenting is trolling in some fashion. I mean that is the entire point of commenting. If you were not trolling you would never comment.. Just the honest truth of it all.

That is an interesting premise. I have a similar one that all political memes are straw man. So it seems redundant to label them as such.

However, what about comments that ask for clarity or even agree to your premise? Can you still troll if you partially or completely agree with someone?
