It was always my greatest fear. He has shied away from conflict in the past. More than most republicans. But I can imagine the pressure on him. But he'd be stupid to listen to it. Although he has assassinated a top foreign government official. Sure he wasn't a great guy but how would Trump react if a foreign government assassinated one of his generals for 'interfering'?

General Soleimani's 'interfering' was being the guy who orchestrated the attack on the US-embassy in Baghdad - just saying.
This targeted assassination is way more proportionate than an invasion. Besides- the People of Iran being on the brink of a revolution against the Ayatollah leaders and their guards a war would just reunite them.
