I thought the meme was trying to comment because some black people have "made it" (and are happy in their lives as evidenced by their use of the OK sign) this somehow proves that racism no longer exists in our country. Which, to be fair is an argument that I've heard plenty before.

That's the thing, it /doesn't/ mean white power. Users of 4-chan got together and started spreading that idea around to troll liberals, because they knew liberals would jump all over it.

They (4-chan) did the same thing thing with that whole "It's OK to be white" sign fiasco, a simple message of affirmation for white people, not in any way racist, but as 4-chan knew would happen, liberals freaked out about it, and actually called it hate speech and all that nonsense.

We all make mistakes, but it takes a big man/woman to admit a mistake, especially in an open forum like this. Respect!
