But all the school she had to miss. That's so sad for a child.

"Colonial, racist, and patriarchal systems of oppression have created and fueled it"

Pfft. If humans even had anything to do with it, it was all for the purpose of taming the world, making it safer and more comfortable, and primarily for the benefit of /women/. Pretty piss-poor "patriarchy".

That's not colonizer mentality at all @@... And primarily for the benefit of women, my ass. The US still doesn't have a female president. Rich white women were only allowed to vote after ex-male slaves. It might be "piss-poor patriarchy" to you but it's still patriarchy...

I said taming the /world/, not taming people. English isn't that hard a language to understand, is it?

Things like central heating and air conditioning, indoor plumbing, worldwide communication, rapid transit, etc. etc.

Some male ex-slaves were allowed to vote before some white men too. Also, in America, it took nearly 100 years from the time when only wealthy landowners could vote, to the time when all men could vote, and then it only took about 13 years until the first women could vote, in Wyoming in 1869, less than 100 years after America was "born". Don't act like men were /allowed/ to vote (after meeting certain requirements, mind you, they've never actually had it as a right) for multiple /hundreds/ of years before women were given /the right/ to vote.

Ah yes, the whole "civilization" argument that's supposed to justify imperialism. But they also brought disease (leprosy), degradation, and oppression. Except no one needed central heat or air in Hawai'i. Native Hawaiians lived on the islands for 1500 years prior to the illegal occupation of Hawai'i with no help from western man. There were between 500k and a million people there before the colonizers came. Within a hundred years it dropped to 40,000. So there were no altruistic reasons behind "taming the world." For most of them it was about theft and land acquisition, gathering possessions and women were just something else to be owned.

Yes, and they have the same ethnic proportions as the places you claim aren't "savage"

I'm not buying into the theory that the advances western civilization has thrust upon our ancestors, or being tamed as the other memer put it, has really been the best thing to happen to the world. There are indigenous peoples who don't have addiction, don't have mass shootings, don't have people on welfare, or on anti-depressants, don't have people committing suicide like we have, etc. Our society's ills are a by-product of all this "progress" and the earth is literally getting trashed. Meanwhile we're running around like hamsters in a cage trying to make enough money to survive while people like Trump break the laws and milk the system. But hey, at least we have central air.

To those who moan n groan about how "we" should save the world let me ask you this. Have you EVER went out and picked up trash along a river?? Put on a sweater instead of turning up the heat? How about car pooling or saving your trips to the market to just once a week to save fuel and reduce YOUR trash/carbon footprint? Do you even bring your own fk'n bag to the store so you don't require those wasteful plastic bags??? That's what I thought. It's sooooo easy to stand on your soap box, shake your fist, bitch about the problem and have an unobtainable task goal so you can virtue signal to all your friends but when it requires the least bit of effort on your part you come up short. You'd have to be a fk'n idiot to believe this shit. If lil' Gretta wanted to bitch at the people who stole her childhood and dreams her ass would have went to China and India. Climate change is just wealth redistribution and the loss of sovereignty. PERIOD!
4 ups, 5y
Well put. As they say "System Change, NOT Climate Change". Total control over you in the name of climate. Greta will not go to China or India, because these people have no voice. They need to sell it to us in the west.
She travels on that carbon-free boat while her crew flies back-and-forth as they're needed. It's all a theatrical performance. I bet she gets helicoptered in 100 miles off coast!

Just because you're not able to do all that (which isn't much, by the way) that doesn't mean the rest of can't. If you don't believe the oceans are rising you're either dumb or your head is so far up Trump's ass you can't see straight.
8 ups, 5y
Meanwhile all your climate change frauds still buy oceanfront property. Piss off.

Banks and investors before lending/investing money run all kins of risk assessments. Guess what, investments along shorelines hasn't slowed down one bit. That should tell you something.

Practically half the US is at risk of having a tornado come through the town, not to mention flood zones, but that doesn't stop people from living in those places. They just have to carry extra insurance.
4 ups, 5y,

Are there people living in tornado alley that not once in their lifetime had their house knocked down and had to rebuild? Of course there are. But in regards climate change and rising oceans will flood all of 12K miles of US coastline 100% - The science is settled! Remember??

I guess the fact that people are still buying beach front property is proof to you that beach erosion and therefore climate change is a myth. Got it.
2 ups, 5y
You guess wrong, I never said that, if you scroll up you'll noticed how your own statement got dismantled and now you're trying to attribute that claim to me. No thanks.

BTW, shorelines get eroded all the time, it's not a sign of rising water. Tides come in, tides go out, and chew away at the soft banks. It happens all the time in nature. Even river banks are subjected to this process. Go find some concrete around old docks and see how eroded that is. Mind you, concrete will take allot longer to erode than these sandy banks you're pointing to, but it will erode eventually. Few hundreds of years and its gone.

I got news for you Einstein, the ocean levels have risen and fall all throughout history. Maybe you should use your head and research this shit instead of sucking the teet of your golbalist masters. Alot of data is being rewritten so you have to look deep, not skim the MSM headlines. BTW, I see that you still gott'a virtue signal how you are making a difference to your echo chamber kind. Ya' just can't do something, one thing, anything, without making it a "selfie moment" so it's not about the "saving the world", it's all about you.

You might have your Maga blinders on but I see the effects of climate change happening all around me. The coral is dying from being bleached by the rising ocean temperatures. The beach erosion in Hawai'i in particular is happening in unprecedented levels. But hey, you just keep living in your Fox News bubble.
3 ups, 5y,
1 reply
Are you sure that's not caused by ocean pollution and overgrowth of ocean plants and red tide?
0 ups, 5y
It's caused by a sustained increase in ocean temperatures. Pollutants from runoff, acidification, etc. just make it harder for the coral to bounce back from bleaching.
3 ups, 5y
Yep, island beaches have never eroded!!! I bow to your brilliance and in-depth analysis of the situation.

Well Greta just contradicted herself. During her confrontation with Blaze reporters in Canada she claimed that she was not a political activist. They said that climate change is a political topic. Greta walked off without another word, and her handlers threatened to call the police on them. For what? Proving her wrong? This quote has proven those Blaze reporters correct.
4 ups, 5y
I took the quote out of her op-ed (someone else wrote), so I'm sure they've seen it by now. Leftist hate when you point out hypocrisy.
