Evidently, lifelong congressional service causes ugliness and a horrible disfigurement.

Don't forget their children always "working" for foreign beneficiaries of American tax dollars

Yea, because average Americans can barely figure out their own taxes, much less the taxes of a business owner with investments and revenue from multiple states and countries.

So....the IRS is only place in the US without a whistleblower? There's something so damaging in his returns, but no one's really discussing it? This sounds to me like the Trump admin equivalent of the Birther conspiracy.

Your comment proves you’re just looking looking for something to criticize. Not only is he guilty until proven innocent, he’s guilty of something he hasn’t even been accused of?

Nice attitude.

Is this meant as a reply to my comment? Because I think we're saying the same thing. Or maybe I'm the one who misplaced his comment. I don't think there's anything earth shattering in his taxes, because if there were someone would have leaked it already.

Sorry, I misread it and thought you were stating an opinion instead of questioning?

i doubt they'd wanna check the calculations. just wanna see who's writin' (or gettin') them checks.

Cause no one could ever hide sovereign wealth in a "trust" on a tiny island such as those left over from the British Empire. In fact it's probably a scheme dreamed up by Trump when he became President. And he's never ever talked about how people can make use of tax laws to lower amounts of tax paid to the government, and certainly not during a presidential campaign or debate.

I think she's talking about legal relationships and transactions.

I would think it's ruddy well obvious what is tax returns are and what they contain, at least to anyone whose ever filled one out and isn't mystified by them.

Not sure how potential conflicts of interest are obvious without seeing the returns.

Trump's the only president in several decades who didn't disclose his tax record. The ones who started as public servants did.

who cares how much money he made as a private citizen? I care how members of Congress become millionaires , exceeding their income

It's more "who cares how much tax he's dodged as a private citizen" that's relevant.

So your whole bases for wanting to see Trump's tax returns is based off conjecture and wishful thinking? You think he's guilty of something cause he doesn't show what you think he should, so he must be hiding something. Yeah, the Democrats have been doing this crap for the past 3 years now and are still making up stories. Good luck with that.

It's based off the fact that all presidents show their financial history as a matter of routine.

It's not required. And just because someone refuses to show private information doesn't mean they're guilty of something.

But I can still turn down someone for a job if I think they're being deliberately evasive on questions that are designed to keep them honest.

The point is it's none of our business what his taxes look like. If he were doing something illegal on his taxes the IRS would have already done something. I'm not sure what the issue is here with the democrats and logical thinking.

And yet he remains the only president in decades not to give us the security of his financial disclosure.

Who cares about a potential tax dodger in government and policy?

Let's get the courts to force her to show us something we have no legitimate claim to see.

Moot point anyway. Millions upon millions of Americans didn't turn Trump down. Apparently he didn't seem so "evasive" to some. Or we just knew all the accusations were bullshit.

More Americans actually did turn him down. It was just deemed that those Americans didn't matter as much as the fewer Americans who didn't.

See, there you go again.."potential" tax dodger. You're just assuming he's dodging taxes because he refuses to show his taxes. This is the typical leftist thought process. Guilty until proven innocent. Sorry, but that isn't the way it works here.

If he were dodging taxes he would have been caught by now by the IRS. As high profile as he is and was in the past, there is absolutely no way he'd be getting away with it this long. He's paying taxes and you and the rest of the left hate him so much, you just make shit up and hope it sticks.

And yet, he could settle it by showing his taxes like literally every other president.

Not "more Americans", just "more that actually bothered to vote"

Do you see the difference?

And yet he isn't going to be bullied into doing something he doesn't have to do just because you people accuse him of crimes he hasn't been found guilty of. Accusations won't work and haven't worked for three years.
