Hey, so since we're all roasting my outdated info on who is the biggest contributor to CO2 emissions, does that mean we can all agree that climate change is real?

you will never and have never seen me deny it, However I know that China and India are the worst at it and fudge the numbers.

Now I am more concerned with man made pollutants/poisons in the oceans and Asia is by far the worst culprit. Take Fukoshima for instance .

He Hated Saddam Hussein the most because he deliberately caused the worst oil spill in the history of man, worse than all the other top 10 combined (pre BP). The only worse ecological disaster he said was Chernobyl (pre Fukoshima) But all those others were accidents. Saddam was a dick who got what he deserved.

Really, you're gonna post a chart from the year 2000, that doesn't account for the the time between then and now, or for the fact that the US has led the world in CO2 reduction since 2005, while China has /more than doubled/ their emissions in the same time frame?

Never mind that the CO2 put out by all countries combined is still around 5% of the CO2 put out by the Earth herself every year

But China has nearly 5 times the population of the US. If they were as bad as us per capita they would be spewing 5 times more pollution overall than the US. They are not nearly that bad in most cases, except this ocean trash thing.

They've been operating and creating an equivalent American population middle class every 10yrs for 30 years, that's why their emissions are still climbing.

Also guys there are you tube videos which run for many hours detailing how to make plastic to oil converters at home. In them they all suggest the components required can be found in used scrap and as new components from home depot etc.
So it's possible to make a conversion device with generally available materials and tools at home now. The resulting outputs from machine are suitable as a fuel for diesel motors or heating.

I know from first hand experience on the top 4 ocean polluters.. They so couldn't give a shit about throwing rubbish, even when you explain to them that the rubbish they just threw out is going to affect their waterways.. With localised flooding etc.. They still throw. They're not bothered. How is that going to be changed?

Also, also. Co2 emissions are directly related to GDP.

Saying that one country or another does more or less poluting without factoring the GDP of said country. Wont skew the real Co2 output levels.. But when you apply GDP to their emmision levels we get a far more accurate view of acceptable or excessive polution levels.

So For example, now i'm not going to go dig the precise numbers but these are pretty accurate.

It is commonly said that Australia is the highest per capita Co2 emitter..

Their economy is around 1.7 trillion GDP and there are about 26 million people.

California has a 2.7 trillion GDP with about 40 million people and supposedly clean and green or trying to be.

On those numbers both places are high GDP to there given population.

However, Australia is supposedly the worst emitter per capita but when you calculate the numbers California is just about identical in GDP per capita but no one is calling California out even though they probably output similar Co2 levels as Australia when viewed alone from U.S.

The GDP of China with the polution levels created are way to high. GDP not population is the measure by which Co2 levels should be compared.

When you compare GDP of the U.S and China, then China's Co2 emmision is clearly enourmous and the worst of the bunch.

Well, if you wanna go by per capita, then it's Saudi Arabia and Australia that are the worst offenders.

That's because China was a forgotten rural peasant tilled dust bucket when the US was becoming industrialized.
In fact, the excuse China and India use for inaction is they need to catch up with us first, THEN take steps to undo the damage done getting there, hence their exemptions or permitted delays in enviromental treaties and accords.
