She also claimed that she was named after Sir Edmund Hillary (who was the first person to climb Mount Everest) which was proven to be False. in short, if her lips are moving, she's lying.

15 year olds may not be adults, but they are certainly not "little girls".

So she wrote to NASA when she was 15?

Where is the lie, exactly?

IDK... are you still a little girl at 15? Some cultures say that's marrying age.

Hey look at it this way... maybe the lie is she never stopped being a whiny little girl, who thinks America was supposed to vote for her based on her gender. Now THAT's crazy.

Have a think. Can you come up with any reasonable explanation why a 72 year old woman would look back at herself at 15 and call it a time when she was a little girl?

I bet you can't even come up with one good reason why we should even care, outside of making funny memes. The delusional child is so completely insignificant, it is funny.

And good for the OP... it's funny as hell. You're the only one getting bent over it.

Am I? Because it looked like you guys were taking an innocuous story and blowing it up as a Hillary lie and I was like "but it's completely reasonable".

LOL - we only did it to watch you squirm.

You're squirming over something innocuous Hillary did just to watch us squirm?

Nope - just laughing at you being a snowflake

Again, I think you're glossing over the fact that you guys were the ones overreacting in the first instance.

Sure, it's about as reasonable as NASA actually saying "we aren't taking girls".

Now I'm not saying there weren't "boys' clubs" back then, I just doubt the people at NASA would be so blunt and rude to a girl simply telling them her dreams.

NASA have officially commented on this story and have up-front confirmed that it is consistent with how they used to handle such letters.

So, nyah on you.

Don't be lazy. It's not hard to verify.

I'm not being lazy, I'm /trying/ to verify, by asking you to source the claim YOU made. Surely it's not hard to back up your own claims?

Actually she could have written to NASA when she was 11 or 12. That's pretty much little-girl territory.

She herself puts it at 13 or 14, I think. It's a story she's often told through the years - I don't know why these weirdos are only picking at it now.

Yeah, they are being their usual asinine selves.

Wondering who even coined the idea of an astronaut in the first place. Was it Jules Vernes? It sounds like his idea.

I did a Google. Percy Gregg, 1880, "Across the Zodiac".
