If I'd seen this meme when it came out, I would have replied "In before leftards start claiming Piers Morgan isn't liberal", although even then I probably would have already been too late...

Except the left have been "claiming" Piers Morgan isn't a liberal all the way back to the Muslim Ban. This really isn't new. Despite Morgan's own claim that he is "a liberal" his disjointed political views kind of land him obtusely in the moderate spectrum. Though he's a supporter of "Women's Rights" and "Gun Control", which are the two flagships to the opposing conservative flagships of "Unborn Rights" and "Gun Rights", he's repeatedly said that he admires Donald Trump and has said he is a "good friend of his," since 2016, which has earned him quite a lot of ire since then.

https://www.foxnews.com/opinion/piers-morgan-welcome-to-team-trump

In this Fox News article, it claims the same shit above 3 whole years ago. And though Piers has "feuded" with Trump in the meanwhile, he is mostly known for making the occasionally articulate headline that is meant to stir up controversy. He has no qualms with pissing off the status quo no matter who it is.

In short, no one really likes him.

And that right there is one of the biggest problems with lefties, the "if you're not with us, you're the evil white supremacist nazi misogynist scumbag enemy" mentality. Sure, some on the right are like that as well, but nowhere near as much. Conservatives are much better known for their willingness to sit down and have civil discussions with political opponents. You won't find many on the left who do that.

Here's a wacky idea: you can disagree with someone over political, religious, or other matters, and still be friends with them. At least, as long as they're not truly evil like Hitler, Mao, Stalin, Castro, Guevara, etc.

And newsflash, Trump is /not remotely/ like any of those people.

Mmmmnooo. If that were true, then we wouldn't have elected an Internet Troll as President. I agree that we need to be able to disagree with people without sensationalizing their position but sensationalization is such an effective tool politically that I don't see that ending on either the left or the right.

You're comparing apples to roller skates, not remotely the same thing, not even in the same ballpark.

Are you saying it was completely rational to vote for Donald Trump? You know, the candidate whose other political taglines were "Drain the Swamp" and "Lock Her Up" ? That Donald Trump comes off as a person willing to sit down with his political opponents and have civil discussions? Yes, he's sat down with his political opponents but do you really think discussions were civil? And no, foreign dictators don't count.

The closest Donald Trump has ever had to having a civil discussion with a political opponent, he opened up with an offer to "suspend due process" in order to confiscate guns.

What exactly is wrong with those positions? The swamp needs draining, and she /should/ be locked up.

And what about /her/ taglines? "War with Russia", "Vote for me because I'm a woman", and "Anyone who doesn't vote for me is deplorable".

The fact is, people voted for Trump because he campaigned on issues, not by trying to be "popular". And "single issue" voters are idiots, as are those who allow the left's pathetic shaming tactics to sway their votes.

Also, here's a funny thing you might not know; all of Trump's positions are /democrat/ positions, or were, until he ran as a republican. Because he used to be a democrat, up until the election. It's elegant proof that the entire democrat party today is infected with TDS.

He shared all their positions, but "he said a naughty (but true) thing about women, so we're going to stand against him, lie about everything else he said and get him out office".

Not all of Trump's positions are Democrat positions. Don't lie Jakk. I'm well aware that Mr. Trump status as a liberal both past and present. A liberal in conservative clothing is a good way to label him. Thats what makes him dangerous. As pointed out by the fact that not only was he in the position of power, but was willing to make full of use of that power to confiscate guns. An asinine position, to say the least. And while Trump may have "changed his mind" or been restricted by "constitutional barriers" it's amazing that his base is so tone deaf that any substantial criticism is met by fierce sensationalism. Which again, I thought we agreed was a huge issue. Are you really telling me that Trump is innocent of this? That he is just on Twitter because wishes to communicate to the people and not because he's some kind publicity hound? Trump is a capitalist after all, (thank God) and to say he isn't trying to be popular is like not understanding the point of his whole gimmick.
