You think you can, but biases would come into play - as evidenced by simply identifying as right or left - and you will also be accussed of it even when you are trying your best to be fair and impartial. Not only from those whose views are contrary, but even from those more alligned, who will accuse you of selling out or going soft when things aren't to their suiting.
You will be bombarded by folks asking for assitance ranging from basic info to wanting you to be their instrument to strike against whomever.
You will soon realize that you will be disappearing into modding, posting less and less as you're swamped by all that behind the scenes stuff everyone else takes for granted. Think modding a couple of streams used by a handful of people is time consuming? Try reading all of politics without taking action, then imagine you having to mod them in addition.
You may very well grow to hate it, having to cater to a bunch of self centered crybabies screaming butthurt over the situations they intentionally caused. It's one thing selecting which memes you want to comment on, who you wish to interact with, imagine dealing with ALL the morons. Having to referee the flame wars of idiots which will no longer matter by next week is tiresome.
