Whether or not the choice is hers to continue or end the pregnancy has nothing whatsoever to do with it. If the fetus is not /legally/ considered a person, it doesn't matter what she intended to do with it.

Additionally, for all you know, she may have had an abortion scheduled for the next day.

So if a person decides to shoot himself versus being shot that makes it right?

Sure, the person who killed her "made the decision", but s/he still only killed one person since, as mentioned, the fetus isn't legally considered a person.

You can't say it's not murder when a mother aborts the fetus, but then turn around and call it murder when someone else causes the fetus to abort. Surely you see the direct contradiction there.

"Unlawful abortion" at most, maybe, but not "murder", not by the legal definition.

Exactly, so legally speaking it isn't murder when someone else does it either.

That's because, legally speaking, the fetus isn't considered a human being until sometime /after/ it's born, so legally speaking, it's not murder if the fetus is killed - or perhaps "destroyed" would be a more accurate word - when the mother is murdered by another person.

You're ignoring the main point, and you're smart enough that I can only assume you're doing it deliberately. She can only "legally" terminate because it is not "legally" considered a human being.

And I gotta say, the irony is astounding, I think the pro-choice issue is the only one where leftists base their arguments on legality rather than their supposed morality.

The mindset that lets women ignore the humanity of their babies in order to rid themselves of an unwanted lifeform is the exact same mindset that allowed the "colonizers" to take over other lands at the expense of indigenous populations, and the same mindset that allowed American slavery to take place.

"It's not legally considered a human being/person"

And that's the very definition of what is called "dehumanization" in regressive left-speak.

"but it would be if the pregnancy was allowed to continue. And by killing the woman/mother, you're not allowing the pregnancy to continue."

So then it's still only a crime against the mother. What you're making is a "have your cake and eat it too" type of argument.

LOL..the mothers choice to continue the pregnancy or not, does not confer or remove biological personhood.

I forget how bad you people are at history and critical thinking. It's because that bill was submitted by a Republican to a Republican controlled House & Senate and signed into law by a Republican President.
