I'm an old Mom who STILL remembers how indignant I was when a prude of a teacher sent my best friend Karen to the office over her sundress-it was a modest little white muslin dress-not Fredericks of Hollywood gear!
It's just that Karen's figure upset this bony old lady (who looked like a less friendly version of Popeyes squeeze, Olive Oyl!)
She was obviously jealous.
I knew at 15 why she sent my friend to the office-where they made her put on some random person's jacket from 'Lost & Found' to cover the TERRIBLE eye searing sight of her 15 year old shoulders!
Considering the prevalence of lice in public schools,I considered THAT an obscenity!
