When you consider Donald Trump's constant attacks on his political enemies (unprofessional), constant denials of any collusion (which is not backed up by anything), and constant attacks on the media (wonder where he learned that trick), it's kinda easy to believe that he COULD (emphasis on could), have ties to Russia. However, we cannot say for sure until the Muller report is actually made public, which it's not YET.
