The two biggest drivers for change is 35yrs of stagnant wages and a 1000X increase in the cost of education. One party blames it mainly on those beneath us. As more of the worlds population increases its living standard we use up more of the planets resources. If the world consumed at a rate like the average American, we'd need 3 planets worth of resources to break even. This isn't me saying this. This is old news and isn't sustainable. Is it wrong to think about alternatives to non-sustainable consumption?

My take on AOC is that she's a bright light that will fizzle quickly and lose credibility shortly. She's making way too much noise and gaining too many enemies. You can't bring up things like not eating hamburger and expect a big segment of the population to not have issues with it.

In the long run though, you can't have 10 billion people eating hamburger the way Americans do.

Here is why, how does government regulating wages is less government? At the contrary, it is giving government more power. Only free market is less government, in free market people are paid their worth based on talents, skill sets and demand. A true free market is not government regulated thus there is no minimum wage. if you increase minimum wage you will be punishing small and medium size business. Thus it benefits the large companies, those that can afford robots, have tax cuts, and have remote workers from other cheaper nations so now they have less competition. It also makes American less competitive in a global economy and forces companies, like Ford, to move to a cheaper labor country. It also creates inflation. Minimum wage is a form of regulation, thus it empowers the government. Minimum wage increase solves nothing, it just hurts the country dramatically. If people want living wages, then they have to work for it, they have to make the effort to get that raise by getting the education needed, they need to earn it and not beg for more money as if money appears by magic. Those this basic concept makes any sense to you?

The working poor have jobs. Something like 45% of all people working for minimum wage are above the age of 25 and have families, acting as the primary bread winner. Obviously, because they only make minimum wage, $7.25 in most states, $290.00 a week, they qualify for a whole host of government programs like wik, food stamps, fuel assistance,....... So, essentially we have a false economy, dare I say a "socialist economy" whereby the government is providing the primary social safety net and primary income source for people and the economy is far removed from the free market economy. We have no free market economy and haven't for at least 30 years.

Given the above, this should be a Republican issue but instead they fight against raising the minimum wage, taking the burden off the social safety net and back on employers.

There are two ways to fix the system. Stop all government handouts, forcing the free market economy back into action while people starve and protest on the streets till wages increase, or...... just increase the minimum wage, which would give people an income source based on their employment, put the burden on the free market economy and life millions of people wages high enough to pull them out of the social safety net.

We have a minimum wage. The system is already there. We are not increasing the government at all by increasing the minimum wage. We are actually increasing the federal government the longer we go without increasing the minimum wage.

According to her twitter feed her staff came up with all of the questions in combination with consulting with all of the other Democratic staffs, so she basically read a few questions that were given to her and had 2 days to put them together for a 5 minute piece. It's a completely contrived witch hunt.. and the reason they did this is because the "witness" wouldn't be considered credible enough for any court of law, but the Dems are like.. yeah.. we'll take him.. lol..
