For liberals and democrats, it was a badge of honor to dodge service and burn draft cards. They seem to be pretty selective about whether or not they care if someone served, especially given that the last two Democrats didn't, and Trump was a democrat his whole life until recently. I don't give two shits about what happened 50 years ago, but I know that if they found bone spurs on anyone they wouldn't be let in because it would compromise everyone around them despite one's ability to play sports or other activities.

The military is strict about who they let in. The soldier has to be able to march for miles a day with a heavy pack. There's a big difference between a game of golf or tennis and carrying a heavy pack across uneven terrain. Being able to sit down when needed is a big part of that. People who have never done manual labor of any kind likely won't understand.
