Seriously. Democrats, as a whole, DO NOT want open borders. The desire to slow (and eventually eliminate) the influx of illegal immigration is actually bipartisan; the difference is in the execution.

Note how the quote above isn't disparaging of the PEOPLE coming across the border - it's simply about the fact that we have laws and processes that must be followed. Trump has a tendency to vilify the people, painting them as enemies. That's where it crosses the line.

He said he was going to deport all illegal immigrants, BUT he was going to START with the rapists and murderers. As in the ones in American prisons for those crimes, or the one with those crimes on their record in their home countries but currently living in America. And he said he was going to try and stop illegal immigration, but /especially/ by the people with those kinds of criminal records.
