Just kiddin' to anybody from CA but god daaang there are some crazy sumbitches running things out there. But what do I know I'm just a crazy hilbilly from the bible belt.
HRH construction, the general contractor, hired illegal immigrants from Poland during the destruction of the Bonwit Teller building which previously occupied the site where Trump Tower now stands. (This was around 1980, mind you...) I'm sure you can come up with a better reason why we should open our borders to every person who wants to come in w/o documentation.
It's a real stretch to believe Trump didn't know what was going on.

The owner of over 500 companies does not have his finger on the pulse every subcontractor's hiring policies. That's damn near impossible. He hires a company to do a job...they do it with their workforce. Has little to do with the present situation at our border. In 1980 there were far fewer regulations in place to prevent this type of hiring as well, a fact that made it even more impossible to police.
Yes. Yes I could start and purchase a lot of companies and I likely would have little knowledge of each one's sub-contactors, much less the sub-contactors' hiring policies, which was the point you lost in your little triggered tirade.
If he can't keep track of what all his 500 companies are doing, maybe he shouldn't be owning 500 companies. Ultimately the buck stops with him.

No one ever said he couldn't keep track of his companies. Keep up. The company that hired the illegals was a sub. You don't seem to be familiar with how management and ownerships work together. Owners and CEOs are different on this level. "The buck stops here" sounds good, but plays out differently when actual responsibility is determined. Today's regulations weren't even in effect back then so your premise fails on both legal and moral grounds. If he had no knowledge of the illegals then trying to bash his current stance with a non-starter just for the sake of trump bashing looks absurd.
That is true. There was some shadiness going on. But can we agree that we have to have restrictions on people coming into our country? Come oooon give me a little.
We do have restrictions, and trump resticted them further, causing a bottle neck... we have a complete idiot at the helm, the sooner the folks who dont get that yet, get that, then the sooner we can get back to being an honorable America.
You're saying that because Trump may or may not have known about whether or not his building was constructed using illegal labor, we should not enforce our border? I don't really understand what your argument is, it seems like you're just raging at the President but have no solution yourself
apologists? we aren't apologizing for shit, he didn't do anything wrong in this case. If migrants attack the border again and throw rocks at our agents, I hope we gas them again. It's unacceptable, and the fact that YOU defend fellow citizens being pelted by projectiles just shows what a disgusting waste of air you are
