Almost true, we still have private property and firearms. After those are gone we will be a huge smoldering crater but we will never be socialists.

We DO NOT, have privately owned property. All property is owned by the municipality, state or government, even if you have no mortgage on it. Seems that right was taken away back when the people had as strong a firearm force as the government. They gave that right away without any fight at all.

You really don't understand socialism, economics, or the law.
Property tax does not convey ownership to the government. You own your property. You can sell it, build on it, or doing nothing with it. The community is using that property simple as a way to calculate a tax liability. They could have used any other tangible or intangible item to make that calculation. Since they decided to use property, your property is simple collateral that you will pay your taxes.

The same thing applies to business. In a truly socialist society, the government owns the means of production. It keeps the profits and determines what and how much to produce.

In the U.S. businesses are owned by individuals. The owners decide what to produce, and how much and what to charge for their product. The owners keep the profit and pay the government taxes on that income. If the owner decided to stop production or change what it produces, the government has no say in it.

If you truly owned your property, you could do NOTHING with it for years on end, pay no one and NOTHING would happen. We all pay rent to the municipality for our property. We do not own it.

You miss the point. Taxes on the property is NOT ownership. Instead of property tax, the government could impose an underwear tax. For every pantie you own they charge you a tax. The property is only an item used to calculate a tax. It does not in anyway imply the government owns the property. Some states have a tax on cars, does that mean they own the car?

You really need to educate yourself on ownership and the rights attached to that ownership.

How can you not see the truth? I could care less if the gov takes away a pair of my underwear. I do care if they take my home away after I've paid it off and refuse to pay 3, 4, $500.00 a month in property tax! It is YOU who misses the point! YOU CANNOT GET AWAY FROM PAYING YOUR PROPERTY TAXES! The gov owns all real estate.

You can buy and sell, make improvements, do what ever you want to your home without any issue from the gov. So what? If you don't pay the municipality your monthly rent for it, they take it away and sell it to someone who will.

You really need to take a course in economics. Because nobody can be that dense to not understand how taxes work.

Florida had an intangible property tax based on your investments. Did that mean they owned your stocks? Your property is only used to calculate a tax and acts as collateral for that tax. Anything can be used to calculate a tax. That does not convey ownership.

I've taken multiple courses in business and economics. Stop trying to talk down to me when you clearly have no common sense. I obviously know how taxes work better than you do. You can own the world, convey ownership to the world, it means nothing if you have to pay someone else to do so. If it can be taken away due to non-payment, you DON'T fully own it! Even if you have the deed stating you do. If we at least did not tax private homes used as our residence, we would have a much more free America. If you don't pay your registration fee's for your car, no one from the gov is going to take your car away. You will lose the privilege of driving on public highways but that is all. What we have allowed happen to home ownership should make everyone protest in the streets. The problem is people who have been lulled into complacency to think property tax is a necessity, a requirement, a simple thing that needs to happen and that means nothing in regards to your rights of ownership. It is NOT nothing. No one in America can go out into the woods on their own land, build a cabin, live off the land in freedom. NO! it is not possible without paying someone for the right to do so. That, is wrong.

The point is, home ownership is a lost right that most people think nothing of, while posting meme's about how socialist we would be if we allowed such things as a single payer system for health care. Most have been lulled into believing they are much more free than they really are. We are not free to live our own lives on our own land. That thought is complete BS. In the past, paid a doctor for a broken child's leg with a chicken, a pig, a goat. We don't live in that world any longer. People lose their homes over simple health care issues now. Our current healthcare system has no freedom for the individual at all We are all slaves to jobs, mainly for our healthcare. If we had a single payer system, the next day half the population would quit their jobs and open businesses in things they are interested in, vastly expanding our economy and growth of the middle class. Individual healthcare is killing our freedom. It's time to truly look at the issues and stop using the "S" word to make things too taboo to discuss. We can't even own our own home. Why would anyone be against a government system for healthcare that would give people the freedom to work at jobs they choose?

Actually, no. Not one of the top countries is a socialist government. The PM of Denmark got so upset at Bernie Sanders for saying Denmark is socialist, he made the point in a recent speech at Harvard that Denmark is a free market capitalist country. Just because a county has programs that benefit society does not make them socialist. The U.S. has many social programs, and we are not a socialist government.

In fact, the first socialist country to make the list is China. If you like socialism, go live in China.
