That article has no sources. He claims he found "a book". What book? If there are so many states who not only didn't ratify it, but didn't even put it to a vote.. why isn't there an outrage? Seems like a tall tale to me. If it was true it'd be a bigger scandal than watergate but.. nothing. No cries of foul from the US Congress, no cries of foul from the SCOTUS, no cries of foul from state governors.. nothing.

It is if the amendment alters what the Supreme Court previously decided was constitutional. Personal income tax was twice, TWICE, decided by the Supreme Court to be akin to a trade and that the only income tax that could be levied was corporate income tax. How convenient that the 16th amendment came not all that long after these rulings. Think about it.... Who of us are going to agree that the government should tax us any which way they please, which is essentially what the 16th amendment says let alone getting a 2/3rds majority to agree upon this.... No, this was fraud. It was the only realistic way they could have gotten this amendment ratified.

I won't disagree. It's automatic for me to debate the other side of every discussion but I agree with you. I read all this decades ago. The IRS is an agency hired by the government to enforce violating the Constitution. I know. But...try to fight it. I knew a man back in the day that tried. I was too young to comprehend what he was trying to do but I always remembered his argument. He should have won but he didn't.

Doing taxes is all wrong too. No one should have to pay someone to get their money back. The tax laws should be simple and they shouldn't take more than they illegally say you owe to begin with. My father always liked to debate getting rid of federal income tax altogether and everyone pay state taxes instead. I'd rather do that but then you've got a lot more corruption. I swear the only reason anyone goes into politics is because they want that giant cookie jar. It never has anything to do with helping anyone of us.

The "taxes aren't legal" argument. I'm not disagreeing with you, other than that article was full of holes. (Personally, if he got all that info in just a year I'd definitely question it. A year isn't enough time to have conclusive evidence of much when it comes to government and historic documents.).

Looking a little closer...it reads just like what's happening now. The winner always undoes what the last president did if that president is in the opposing party. Looks like that's all any of them have ever done. It's such a waste of time. Imho.
