I suppose people that have never experienced sexual assault, in any of it's many forms, would think they could comprehend the magnitude of what it does to a person's mind. They'd be WRONG but everyone thinks they have to have an opinion on every subject.

There is no "oh it wasn't that bad", "He just kissed you" or "he just groped your breasts". Assault is assault. The statute of limitations is longer for sexual assault cases because it can takes years for a victim to admit to themselves, let alone the public, that it even happened. It's degrading and humiliating. Duh! Society tends to punish victims and raise up the sick twisted neanderthal that thought he had the right to assault her in the first place, because he didn't consider what he did assault. I agree with pretty much everything you said. I will point out, however, that this meme isn't a funny meme about rape. The way I read it is the OP is pointing out that we seem to be saying Brett Kavanaugh is guilty and no matter what he says it doesn't matter because we've already said he was guilty without any evidence.

Rape is a serious accusation and if someone accuses someone else of rape and it isn't true, you need to be punished for ruining someone's name.

Oh you don't just ruin their name. It ruins their lives. If he's married his wife will always wonder and probably divorce him. His kids will be bullied. Theyll hate him. He'll lose hope. The truth can only be known by the people that were there but even they will have a different perspective. Either way if either one is lying they should be punished accordingly. Falsely accusing someone of secual assault, in my opinion, is as bad as committing sexual assault. It harms the accused and it keeps actual victims from coming forward for fear of being called a liar.

We should have heard of these allegations years ago, We should have heard these allegations back in July when Kavanagh was nominated. We should have heard of these allegations during the week long SCOTUS hearings. We definitely should have heard of these allegations before sore loser Democrats said "We will do whatever it takes to stop this appointment. It really doesn't help your debate when sore loser Democrats were screaming "Not my SCOTUS" before the nomination was announced, It really really doesn't help when sore loser Democrats had signs made up for every candidate & Democrats said We won't vote for any of President Trumps nominations.
