Creepy Condescending Wonka Meme | YOU'RE GOING TO DIE SOMEDAY SO WHY NOT BECOME A HEROIN ADDICT? | image tagged in memes, creepy condescending wonka | made w/ Imgflip meme maker
Nice logic. We can't solve a big problem in its entirety, so we shouldn't even bother doing anything at all?

Simply pointing out that doing something is better than doing nothing, even if doing something doesn't do everything.

It doesn't matter whether it is or not--- effectively there is NOTHING that can be done about it without massive disruptions to current modern life-- the kind of disruptions that start global wars.

Yeah, even all the tree on this planet only reduce 4% of the daily carbon produced. I hope and wish in few decades, we will able to build outer space colony. Earth simply not big enough for us. And oh if you wondering how do I know it's just 4 % search you tube. If I'm not wrong the title is "planting tree won't save us anymore" or something like that. It's from science tech channel if I'm not wrong

I strongly agree. We need to branch out. As the population of this planet increases, so does the likelihood of a war or plague that takes out billions. Be nice to have a backup.
reply

The 3rd World needs to STOP MAKING BABIES! We need population reduction back to about 4 Billion. That would be a sustainable global population where all would have the opportunity to be successful.

Wow, really! Perhaps we all should help these regions to develop faster then. As you know, most developed countries have a modest growing or even declining population. If you expect a better future, you do not need 10 children to take care of you when you are old. At the moment the west leaves the 3rd country regions for what they are. Can you blame them they will come to the US and EU for trying to get a better future?

There will be no solution to climate change until a way is found to feasibly meet our electricity demands without fossil fuels. Where do you think the electricity for electric cars comes from? Do you use a solar cell to charge the phone you use to b**ch about climate change?

If they wantto motivate people to reduce the use of fossil fuels, how about to clean up the air we breath?
reply

Electricity can created by burning natural gas and large solar farms and wind farms, and yes, it is much less than a gas car.

The Latino population is projected to become the majority in the US. Latinos do not have "white guilt" and had nothing to do with slavery and our civil war. Black people will be treated equally and there's nothing they can do about it.

Actually global population size doesn't have as much of a correlation with the size of our carbon footprint as you'd think. India has one of the largest populations on the planet, but the amount of CO2 emissions it produces are 16 times less than that of the United States.
reply
3 ups, 2 replies
Maybe try adding some context. You're looking at CO2 (which plants and trees literally breathe) as the boogeyman. More developed countries like the US use technology to convert hazardous air pollutants and volatile organic compounds INTO CO2 by processes like thermal oxidation. China produces less CO2 because they just dump the pollutants into the air with wanton disregard for the environment. China, India, Mongolia, etc produce way less CO2 than the US. You just have to ignore that breathing the air is equivalent to smoking a pack of cigarettes. Sure we could produce less CO2 if we wanted smog like Beijing, it would even be cheaper. But maybe having clean air and water that doesn't give you cancer is more important than the climate going up a fraction of a degree. Try understanding the actual science instead of just regurgitating what politicians tell you. Don't be a sheep.

No wonder you libs are so bad at real science. You can't even keep your numbers straight. It's easy to say "9 out of 10 scientists agree to this bullshit" because it allows you to be ignorant and lazy and not actually understand how the science and data works.

"China produces less CO2"
reply
2 ups, 1 reply
Your reply proves my point though. All the enviro-commies give a bunch of nonsense "statistics" that contradict other lefties "statistics", and then you say it's settled science to shut down discussion. The fact is that if you want clean air and clean water, you make more CO2 emissions by eliminating pollutants. Is that ideal? No, but it's better than the alternative, which are hazardous air pollutants. I know you find it hard to believe that republicans want clean air and clean water, but we do, and CO2 (which, again, plants literally breathe) is the least of the environment's problems.

That's stupid, whatcha gonna do when the oil and coal runs out, use your awesome trigger power?
40% of mercury pollution in California is airborn from China.
And of course you're too young to remember acid rain killing trees in the Appalchians from factories farther west during the Reagan era. And yes, he took action then to halt it, to much success.

Guilty conscience wha? Conned, by whom, an ignorant presumptious projecting putz like you? That's also stupid.

So shut down your Appalachia coal mine. Put 'em all out of work-- tell them about how much help you'll give them when you take their livelihood... It won't matter at a national level--- there is enough coal in Wyoming to last 300 years.

That's not a mine with miners, you confounded blockhead, it's a damn bulldozer with a driver.
You go tell em.

There's enough to last Wyoming an eternity because no one lives in that pile of dried cow dung.

Gawd you're dumb. You don't know what you're talking about. LOL -- you think you do... but you really do Not know what you're talking about. Damnit that's funny....
