I strongly agree. We need to branch out. As the population of this planet increases, so does the likelihood of a war or plague that takes out billions. Be nice to have a backup.

The 3rd World needs to STOP MAKING BABIES! We need population reduction back to about 4 Billion. That would be a sustainable global population where all would have the opportunity to be successful.

Wow, really! Perhaps we all should help these regions to develop faster then. As you know, most developed countries have a modest growing or even declining population. If you expect a better future, you do not need 10 children to take care of you when you are old. At the moment the west leaves the 3rd country regions for what they are. Can you blame them they will come to the US and EU for trying to get a better future?

There will be no solution to climate change until a way is found to feasibly meet our electricity demands without fossil fuels. Where do you think the electricity for electric cars comes from? Do you use a solar cell to charge the phone you use to bitch about climate change?
