this has been the worst year of my life. my uncle died of multiple sclerosis while we were on a vacation to the outer Scottish isles. The old people we rent from both died, one a stroke, one a fatal car incident. And my 90 year old great aunt died of another stroke. so i feel what you're going through. best of luck through hard times.

Life is never easy and sometimes it seems like all the terrible things have to happen at once. I feel you on the MS thing. There are multiple autoimmune diseases in my family. They are vicious and so much of the time treatments for them do more harm than good. Thoughts and prayers as you process all that you're going through.

maria, this is beautiful. you brought together tonnes of people! it makes me happy that this situation can get such an outstanding response!

I just post what's on my mind. I had no idea there would be this much response.

You have my sympathy.

My brother in law died from this 3 years ago on sept 6th...
Crazy thing is, on August 24th, he went to the doctor cause he didn't feel good all week ( he is normally REALLY healthy, NEVER took a sick day)
The doctor told him it was probably just the flu and go home.
The next day he was so sick my sister took him to the ER... they sent him home saying he had the flu really bad and just keep hydrated,
That night he collapsed on the bathroom floor.
Rushed to another hospital, and they FINALLY ran tests... and got the grim diagnosis.
It is an AWFUL disease and kills SO quickly it is scary!
It can be misdiagnosed or go unnoticed until just before the very end.

I am SOOOO sorry for you Maria, for your loss. ((((HUGS))))

Lost my mother-in-law to this (no jokes, she was a great lady). Almost a certain death sentence when finally discovered.

I feel your pain. My grandmother died about a month ago of pancreatic cancer. We all feel sorry for your loss, and may God be merciful with her parted soul.
