I did read an article the other day from a lefty type newspaper, no less (forgot what I was looking up, so skip the source), and it described how Antifa had a wall of people preventing anyone from trying to intercede in one of their attacks or try to help those who were attacked - including leftists who were present at the demonstration but non-violent. The vibe was that they could get attacked themselves.
So in that regard, yes, their tactics are not just violent, but potentially dangerous to any and all.

I don't think race has anything to do with most acts of violence, but in some cases they do. And in the case you mentioned, it did. But the mainstream refused to call it a hate crime because the perps were black.

As I recalled, the perpetrators were shown quite a bit, as they had posted it on Facebook. I don't recall skin color being hidden or not stated.

It should have been handled as a terrorist act, since the definition of a terrorist attack is any violent crime being done in the name of political reasons.
