I googled black metal and read about the band "Immortal", it seems they're poplar (I use that term very loosely) because they've been around for quite awhile....someone was quoted as saying that they're the "Nickelback" of Black Metal? I dunno, I couldn't stop laughing after reading that, if it's true or not, I dunno? Lol

Immortal have their detractors among the 'true' metal community because of their constant posing and gurning. They are on the ridiculous side, though I don't know if it's Nickelback ridiculous - some of their music is actually not half-bad.
