I know! The surface area of their hooves is extremely small, they can walk through 2 feet of crunchy dead leaves and make barely and noise, me on the other hand I'd scare anything within a 2 mile radius! The only other thing that I know who could creep up on you that quiet was a Game Warden stationed near our old hunting camp near Augusta, Ga, he was (and totally looked like) a Cherokee Indian. That Sumbitch sneaked up right under my tree stand and made a wild boar sound/call and I damn near dropped my rifle and fell out the damn stand! Great guy, knows how to hunt any and everything, including people (Ex-Army Ranger). He came straight in towards me, I didn't hear a thing, he's a ghost, I swear! I yelled "You Go***amn Ingun!" He just laughed "You're blind, Pale Face!" I've met a few Native Americans, they move like the wind, I don't know how they didn't kill all the pioneers back in the day? I would never want to go up against one of them, I'd never make it! Lol :)
