I'm the real natalie. The other is a progressive who can't take the fact he's lost the cultural battle.

I'm always stunned by the amount of hatred progressives spew toward anyone who disagrees with them.

Hatred? Research what happens to transgenders in other parts of the world. Our society in this country is being forced to bend over backwards to make sure we recognize their rights. And they do have rights and they should have rights. But, don't go talking about how others hate them.

How is our society bending over backwards? Why can't everyone just get over the simple fact that people are changing gender?

Evidently you completely ignore the part he said in other parts of the world. Our society is bending backwards to please the 1%, evidently you have also been ignoring that bathrooms and schools are accommodating for them. But let's not ignore how transgender also hate straight people... who is going to defend them? People are not changing genders. They are born with a gender, and they retain that gender until they die. The day I see a male getting pregnant and a female generating semen on her own, then your argument may have some value. Right now it sits empty, just like your brain.

Transgender people don't hate straight people. That's a misconception made by anti-LGBTQ activists. If we ignore them for being the 1%, should we also ignore all cases of radical Muslims because they make up a small percentage of the entire Muslim population?

Radical Muslim are the majority, not the minority. Get your facts right. They do hate, just like every human being does. I did not said ignore, but not bend our back backwards and come pay a cost that is not needed. Remember that murder convict prisoner in California that costed tax payer money to get the operation done. Imagine them draining us even more if they join the military! Brilliant!

I guess we should take out military viagra as well if we're so worried about military costs. That costs way more than transgender medication.

Military Viagra in? Is that the best you could come up with? You are not worth my time.

You're right, I'm not worth your time. I participate in good discussions, not garbage.

There are definitely conservatives that spew hatred too. But over here across the pond from you, there's been way more violence toward conservatives lately, and the liberal media embraces it for the most part.

It always winds them up if you tell them they speak English pretty well, but need to work on their accent. :)

It's fine.
Still, I find Britain to be quite a conservative nation. Britain appears liberal because they have law created secularly rather than being based on Christian beliefs. After all, Europe went through the Enlightenment Age, while America didn't get that education so much.

I assume you would consider traditional marriage laws as religious-based. Any others? I'm not trying to challenge you; I'm just interested in your point of view since you are in a better position than I am to notice this.

Traditional marriage laws are usually religious based, hence many people using religion as a basis for such law. Britain's secularity means having no religious supremacy, thus they have the knowledge not to blame all Muslims for one terrorist attack. Because of Britain's secularity, they're often quick to give rights to LGBT individuals, and don't get the chance to pass "religious freedom" bills.
Upvote. :)

Perhaps if governments didn't meddle in the business of giving rights to groups but treated us all as individuals, maybe people would get along a little better.
I appreciate your sharing your viewpoint. Thank you!
3 ups, 7y
Still, if several people are still not being treated equally as a result of being different, the government should do something about it.
You're welcome! Thanks for sharing your's! :)

Many progressives that I have experience with can't. Not all, but many. Also, I noticed that there was a different Natalie-vance with a dash instead of the underscore and I was pretty sure you were the real one already. But nice to have some clarification.

Actually, science has NO explanation for the origins of life. NONE. Nor can it EVER have any. It is all just speculation as to where everything came from.

You must have a different definition of science than I do. Something has to be repeatable in laboratory experiments to be proven. All else is just speculation.

Yes, of course that's true. Still, science has its limits. It can only study what's here. When it tries to tell how it all got here, it veers off into speculation. If life originated from "organic compounds," how did the organic compounds get here? An origins explanation that says "it did it all by itself" doesn't sound like science to me.

"Abiogenesis is the natural process by which life arises from non-living matter, such as simple organic compounds." So that's science's explanation? That's never been observed. You are entitled to believe that if you want. Life comes from life, period. Life can never come from non-life, and has never been observed to do so. Therefore, like I said, science has NO explanation for life's origin.

Back when the book you base your beliefs on was written, there were thousands of other people claiming to hear the voice of god in their heads. Oh yeah but you totally, with no geographical bias whatsoever, picked the one guy who wasnt insane...ok bro

The book I base my beliefs on was not written by one mad man in the desert. It was written by about 40 different men over a time period of 1500 years. It's overarching message is that God loves you and you must love Him and others.

Each of those men were among the thousands of conflicting stories of men having gods words directly transmitted to their brains only. How does one choose?
0 ups, 7y,

I've read the entire Bible 16 times and many parts of it much more than that. It isn't a collection of conflicting stories even though it was written by so many people over such a long timespan. I find that remarkable.
1 up, 7y,

I didn't say the bible has conflicting stories or commandments, though that arguement can easily be made. I said that each of the various people saying that they were hearing the word of god at any given time have told conflicting stories. The popularity or longevity of one the records of someone claiming to hear god voice in their heads isnt a ssfe argument either
