Actually, the worst president in history would have to go to Woodrow Wilson. Obama is a close second. Maybe even tied for first and Carter a close second.

Wilson was a racist. Just like Obama, he hated conservative Americans, his consentration camps he used to lock Americans up who refused to support entering WWI , weren't popular. And with good reason.

I'll be honest though.. I enjoyed his presidency. Sure the economy went down, and we should have no business with North Korea, but the oppressed were for once less oppressed. In my opinion, human rights and lives are more important than money because Money is something you can get back very easily, a human being is not.

In my Elementary School years, a student could call another student "Gay" as an insult, along with get bullied. In my high school these days, being gay is ok, along with being trans, bi, etc. I know some people who are part of the LGBT, 3 friends I can remember from the top of my head, 4 including myself. Including them, I have friends who are minorities, and I care for them as much as anyone.
With a conservative president, the changes and protections made for equality would be removed, thus Making America Hate Again. The only difference between today's America, and Bush's America was that love was a force in Today's America, but now is muffled, chained, and dismissed by politics. I not only fear for myself, but my friends as well if they're picked on or attacked, and that's not the America I wish to see.
According to many people, George W. Bush was the worst president in U.S. History because of not only his economic policies which lead the economy down (and which Obama tried to fix), but also because of his exposed reaction to 9/11, which once he got the news, he continued reading "My Pet Goat" to kindergarteners, and then attacked the wrong people. (Also called the War on Terror)

I'll be honest when I say that Obama's presidency were the Greatest 8 Years of My life. 4 Years in, no kids were made fun of for being gay, and that was cool with me. I would banter on about his legacy as well, TBH.

I honestly would like (love) to hear your feedback on my little (what should I call this?) rant, and what you think were the goods and bads were of Obama's presidency.

Thanks! <3

There wasn't a murder in the meme, it's showing how both sides can be wrong.

Some Christians and Muslims don't agee religiously with gay people. They shouldn't be forced to make a specifically gay cake and it was all the negative attention in the media that led to the business closing down. If the BAKER'S rights were respected as well, it wouldn't have led to such negative media attention.

Your analogy of blacks being refused service isn't applicable.

The meme was showing how they're violating rights now by forcing the baker to do what THEY want, regardless of how the baker feels. That's disrespectful. They had no REASON not to serve blacks other than their own beliefs. RELIGIOUS beliefs are why bakers don't want to make a specifically gay cake. The two situations are entirely different man.

Religious freedoms are a right here. America is a democratic republic. There's going to be people you don't think are right like the religious bakers but they have rights too.

I answered if you'd check your notifications, bud.

It talks about marriage being sacred and being between a man and woman. Any union of a man and man or women and women is to defile God. So the bakers, probably thought to contribute to such a abomination would be contributing to sin.

No it does specifically say cake makers in Oregon or anything like that. :)

Why does your example have to black?
I kinda see your mind set much clearer now.

But if those "racist" Christians' argument was valid, then why are there Christians from every country?

Well that's their problem though. Nowhere is racism allowed or encouraged in the bible or else people from other countries wouldn't be Christians. I say "other countries" instead of "other races" because we're all one race.
1 up, 7y
Omg! You are a relentless dumbass.
It wasn't a "different topic."

And some atheists are rapists. And some water fowl are rapists (to other water fowl). What's your point, exactly?"

Soooo...
You say that singling out an entire religion is not fact and impossible, irrational and disregard the entire statement, but using a small sect of "racist christians" as proof that the gays were in the right with the Christian bakers and were the victims is fact?
Which is it octavia?
You seem to be labeling people when it fits your agenda.

Did you know that Trump defended gay rights at the Republican National convention and said he was happy that so many Republicans were clapping? He also said he didn't care what bathroom trans people use.

https://youtu.be/lSVLpzGseXw
4 ups, 7y,
1 reply
Yes, I did know that. He did say he didn't mind which bathrooms that trans people used. However, he changed his stance on bathrooms after he became the Republican Nominee.
He has flip-flopped his stance on Gay marriage a couple of times: his latest statement being the Supreme Court is done with it. However, his VP Mike Pence has several other ideas, including removing all of the protections that the LGBT have. (Which is why he makes Trump look good in my opinion)

Thanks for being rational, by the way. :)
Here's an upvote!
2 ups, 7y,
2 replies
I don't think he ever changed his stance, he said it should be up to each state. He believes the federal government should have less power and wants states to have control over their own issues, but he still believes like he said that trans people should use which ever bathroom they feel is appropriate.

I also don't think Pence wants to do what you're saying. I think that's just hysteria created by the false narrative mainstream media uses.
3 ups, 7y,
2 replies
Well, if that's true, than I'm in less trouble. I live in North Carolina, and we just elected a guy who will (hopefully, he's a politician) repeal HB2. However, States' rights leaves trouble for the LGBT in anti-LGBT states, which still recedes equality.

Well, I actually did my research and found out that Pence has given money in Indiana to ex-gay conversion therapies. I tend to avoid the News (we don't have cable, that's a plus) because I also know that outlets such as Fox, CNN, NBC, all of the other 3-letter named crap-spouters (and MSNBC) are twisted.

I do check a site called LGBTQ-Nation, sometimes (not often), which takes LGBTQ Hate Events (Whether a Gay man has made negative comments about woman's dressing, or a trans person is murdered in another country), Ellen Degenres/John Oliver episodes, and other things and spread them around. The site does some articles on Mike Pence, but that's not where I got the information.

I looked it up on PolitiFact (which I know a lot of people use), and found out that it is Half-true, as Pence hasn't focused fully on Gay conversion therapy, but still has opposed Gay marriage and such.
3 ups, 7y,
1 reply
I've heard that Pence was against gay marriage in the past, but I don't think he really cares about it presently. He did just go to the theater to watch the Hamilton production which had some gay actors in it I believe. If you watched that clip I linked, pretty much all the people at the Republican National Convention were cheering for gay rights. I don't think you have anything to worry about. And just because Trump wants states to make their own choices doesn't mean he won't step in if anyone's rights are being violated.
2 ups, 7y,
1 reply
I'm certain Trump won't be too much of an issue.
Still though, he has appointed people like Rick Perry to a high position of power. I could say that Rick Perry is worse than Mike Pence: he doesn't just hate Gays, he also hates Atheists. While Rick Perry isn't in a too high position of power, he is in a cabinet. He was put in the Energy Department under Trump.

No equal is if a Christian baker doesn't want to bake a cake because it's against their religion. Superiority is it that said Baker loses business because he doesn't want to bake a cake for someone whose lifestyle is against his religion beliefs. Where was the protection for him?
3 ups, 7y,
8 replies
Lifestyle? That's one of the many myths about homosexuality.
It's actually a genetic structuring that causes homosexuality, which is why they can't control it. Therefore, the Baker is discriminating against their conditions they can't control, and it is a crime against humanity.
2 ups, 7y,

Dude, I'm pro gay rights but come on, it's not a crime against humanity if a baker doesn't want to use their artistic skills to bake a cake for a gay wedding. Everyone should be entitled to live the way they want to as long as they aren't hurting anyone. Why can't they just go to a baker who is comfortable baking their cake? Here's a good take on the subject:

https://youtu.be/RgWIhYAtan4
3 ups, 7y
Ok, they don't need to use their skills to create a Gay Wedding Cake, but there are actually shops out there that refuse service to anyone who they might think are gay, wedding cake or not. Probably not relevant right now, but still worth mentioning.
Also, what if they happen to come across a bakery in the countryside/middle of nowhere where there's no other bakery in sight, and the baker is uncomfortable with it? Many weddings, gay or straight, are often held in rural/open (very pretty) areas, with little/no bakeries nearby, but one. If that one bakery is uncomfortable with making a cake for a gay wedding, what should happen then?

Right. Like he said in the video, they shouldn't refuse to make them a birthday cake. But the government forcing someone to go against their religious beliefs and make a specifically gay cake is wrong. That's fascism, and is against the first amendment.
3 ups, 7y
Good point. I didn't see why the government should get involved. A YouTuber I watch named Jaclyn Glenn made this point when debating with Jesse Lee Peterson. She mentioned that bringing the bakers to court and such is harsh, along with forcing them to shut down the business.
Sure, enforcing one's religious beliefs is terrible, but enforcing the government to shut down a small bakery is also bad.

I think if I were having a gay wedding, and the baker who I visit is uncomfortable with making a wedding cake, I would just move on. I would let the government know, but I wouldn't tell them to shut the bakery down. I could let my friends know, and they'll know where not to get a gay wedding cake. However, if the bakery was in the middle of nowhere, the person has to make the cake if there are no other nearby bakeries.
1 up, 7y
Haha. So it's ok to discriminate against them, as long as they arnt discriminated against.
Nice one...
1 up, 7y,
1 reply
They shouldn't be forced into anything is the point. No matter where they live. Plus gays don't live in rural areas. They tend to live in big cities.
I think it's a crime against humanity to be gay, personally.
Being gay cuts off procreation which limits humanity.
I don't care really, or won't act on it or discriminate. I just think its disgusting
2 ups, 7y
Why do we need procreation? 7 Billion humans in the world already. How is that not enough because we're draining planet resources the way the Maya Tribe drained theirs..
The stories you hear about gays are often seen in big cities. However, there are still some who live in Rural areas.
Also, how is it a crime against humanity to be gay? It is actually a natural thing since some animal studies have shown similar characteristics to that of the LGBT. In fact, biological studies tell us that clownfish can change gender. It's something from birth; it's not controllable.

I agree with you, but i wouldn't call it a rant. Thoughts maybe? I guess you can say it's your thoughts. I think the acceptance of people who are LGBT was a huge thing he got done. I remember it being in insult, still kinda is for some people, but i rarely hear people use it or mean it the way they used to. He got us out of the recession, which was great. A lot of people complain about the debt increase, honestly i have no clue were this money even goes but i give it leeway due to the middle east conflict and our economic difficulties.

I think he did a good job his first term, i've heard of people bashing him im his second term (like this meme) but i don't feel that Romney could have done the job as good as Obama did.
