I'll be honest though.. I enjoyed his presidency. Sure the economy went down, and we should have no business with North Korea, but the oppressed were for once less oppressed. In my opinion, human rights and lives are more important than money because Money is something you can get back very easily, a human being is not.
In my Elementary School years, a student could call another student "Gay" as an insult, along with get bullied. In my high school these days, being gay is ok, along with being trans, bi, etc. I know some people who are part of the LGBT, 3 friends I can remember from the top of my head, 4 including myself. Including them, I have friends who are minorities, and I care for them as much as anyone.
With a conservative president, the changes and protections made for equality would be removed, thus Making America Hate Again. The only difference between today's America, and Bush's America was that love was a force in Today's America, but now is muffled, chained, and dismissed by politics. I not only fear for myself, but my friends as well if they're picked on or attacked, and that's not the America I wish to see.
According to many people, George W. Bush was the worst president in U.S. History because of not only his economic policies which lead the economy down (and which Obama tried to fix), but also because of his exposed reaction to 9/11, which once he got the news, he continued reading "My Pet Goat" to kindergarteners, and then attacked the wrong people. (Also called the War on Terror)
I'll be honest when I say that Obama's presidency were the Greatest 8 Years of My life. 4 Years in, no kids were made fun of for being gay, and that was cool with me. I would banter on about his legacy as well, TBH.
I honestly would like (love) to hear your feedback on my little (what should I call this?) rant, and what you think were the goods and bads were of Obama's presidency.
Thanks! <3
