by the way, I meant the "chess match thing as a compliment. I have a ton of respect for him .

Not to mention he's someone that attacks every conversation like a championship chess match.

But I don't like Fox News either. I don't watch any news, but Fox News is my No. 1 avoidance.

I don't think it would. That's my opinion though. I respect your right to watch it, I'm just not going to watch Fox myself because I don't believe them.

I don't believe CNN (much) but I watch.

I don't watch any news source. :P
Apart from reading an article or two from LGBTQ nation, but that's kind of it. No NBC, no CNN, no Fox, none of that. That's me anyways..

How do you know if your chosen source is lying to you? More importantly, how can you ever say an opinion is your own? I'm not trying to be demeaning here, but you speak out on a lot of political topics and represent that you have an opinion.

I base my beliefs on what is more believable, as an atheist and civil rights supporter. If I see/hear something that I know is bigoted, or hurting the minority, I disagree with it. The LGBTQ Nation may be lying to me, but it's very rare when oppression of an LGBTQ person is lied about (which is what LGBTQ Nation mainly spreads). I spread this mainly because I would like for people to learn about the harm that has been aimed towards minorities.

I get what you are saying, but how do you create the baseline of believability or sort the hyperbole from fact? Maybe more importantly, are you not interested in being able to present your opinions in a way that makes them more credible and having people take your opinions more seriously?

I learn about the history of the minorities. That's one thing.
When I do present my opinions, I do my best to keep my rationale. If I type in all caps, or call names, than there's no point in getting my point across. However, if I display my believes in a reasonable, and passionate manner, than that becomes a proper debate and my points do come across, and the opponent takes it.

I can accept that as we have had conversations from opposing viewpoints that did not digress, but when I look at your submissions over the last several days, they all are on the sensational side if not just obvious overstatement. Is that to induce conversation? Or statements of actual opinion? I'm curious if they are meant to be food for the choir or a venue to open discussion?
2 ups, 9y
They're kind of both. Either the choir to sing, and a venue for discussion. They're definitely statements of opinion, if anything, yet still able to create a debate if anyone wishes to challenge my viewpoints. My tagline does say, "I have waffles, so debate me." ;)

Many of us are curious if he's ok? I made a meme yesterday asking if anyone knew or was in contact with him. I was pointed your way!

Yeah, He's doing well. His work has him traveling a lot to construction sites and writing OSHA procedural manuals. I have a really basic understanding of what he is doing and its pretty tedious stuff that is keeping him very busy.

Should I relay this message on the meme or shall you?
This is great news (The he's ok part), you kind of start to worry when there is no signs of life at all from a top dog memer like him.

Thanks for the link buddy, you wanted me to read the comments didn't you :)

Nothing to do with the comments (those weren't on the meme when I linked it).

I just wanted to help it get some more views, and I thought it might be a meme you might like. It reminded me of the baby "Aliens" comment you put on one of my meme addict memes a while back. :)

But I guess it worked out well, given the comments.
