As of now, he's already won Michigan after the recount.

He will win the others as well. Not sure what the strategic impetus was in this entire exercise ... unless it was to fundraise.

The strategies might be: For Jill Stein, yes it is 'funding'; For Hillary, DNC, and in-the-tankers, it's to 'keep alive' the election protest movement, cause distraction and kill time in-general, and attempt to delegitimize Trump's win by implying fraud on his behalf.... AND, the big one is this:.... If you ever studied the way that Clintons maneuver, you will realize that whatever scandal they may themselves be suspected of, they pull a switcheroo, and lay that same thing on their opponents.... So, here, it's likely that Hillary et all, engaged in voter fraud, and that this accusation of Trump engaging in fraud is to distract attention toward Trump .... (They have used this principle time and time again.... I'd write about a bunch of the examples -- but I've already written to much here)

Maybe to suspend his inauguration so that the senate could vote on the presodent. Clearly, that's not going to happen. And I also wonder where the "anyone who doesn't accept the results of the election is a danger to democracy" thing went. . .

I believe it has everything to do with money. She knows the vote count won't change. They're doing this for a power grab.

Stranger things have happened!

The way I see it, Stein & possibly the Green Party (possibly not, they're more a loose coalition than an organized, top-down body like the GOP) is/are trying to jump on the Trump Effect moneytrain.

I don't agree with Clinton's support for the recounts; but I understand her calculation: the Democratic Party needs to reach out to the progressives & liberals who supported Sanders & the Green Party and that have been mostly shut out of the party's power structure for the past 20 years or so.

Yo, I was just looking through my old stuff for grins and giggles, and this has the feeling of a prediction that fits what happened.

She's just trying to make amends with the Dems...

But as a Trump voter, I say, "Thanks, babe!"

You really believe Stein kept Hillary from winning? No, Hillary kept Hillary from winning. After Debbie Wasserman Shultz rigged the primaries so the worst possible choice was selected, Hillary failed to win the support of the independents.

Going into this election, 27% of all registered voters were Democrats. 23% of the voters were Republican. Trump exceeded the number of Registered Republicans voting for him, Hillary fell short.

Nope, it wasn't the competition, it was the candidate.

I was going off of my experience from back when her husband got elected originally. If Ross Perot hadn't re-entered the election, the votes he'd gotten would have gone to Bush Sr., and Bill would have been a footnote in history.

But I do see your point. Wonder if any of the Hillary-supporters would care to add their 2 cents?

Hillary supporters have been laying low or out protesting because they made the wrong choice. They stopped trying to debate me, because the only ammunition they had, or used, was if I don't vote for Hillary, Trump will be president and, occasionally, it's time we had a woman president. Well, their fear is now a reality: Trump won. First woman president? I don't have a problem with having a woman president, just not the woman.

But I'd love to see a Hillary supporter come out here and make the claim.

I would have LOVED to have had Condoleezza Rice run back in '08.

If Hitler-y had just received half of Jill Stein's votes, she could have won.

Thanks Jill!

It would not be as simple as that. Jill Stein's vote would NOT have all automatically gone to Hillary.... Never-Hillary people would have divided the vote across Johnson, Trump, and even other lesser candidates as well -- or even not voted at all...

I can't help but think that the majority of Ms. Stein's voters were left-leaning, and would prefer her to either Johnson or Trump.

BTW, I voted for Trump. I was merely speculating. Thanks for commenting.

I think Stein's votes were a big mixture. they combined a protest for both Hillary and Trump,... Some hated Hillary so much that if Stein was not there they would have went for Johnson, or, even a lower candidate
1 up, 7y
I still think the majority of the Conservative protest votes went to Johnson, and the majority of the Liberal protest votes went to Stein.

I confess, I'm just speculating.

If you run under a 'Party', you also have to (are expected to) raise money for the lower political races in that Party
