It's amazing the crap they did to this country. If it weren't for them, I bet the election would probably have been something along the lines of Bernie vs. Cruz or Rubio. They gave Trump so much coverage because they thought Hillary could beat him.

I think both parties, as well as the mainstream media have a lot of work ahead of them to make changes and restore trust. Your thoughts?

MSM, the Democrats and the Republicans were all against Trump, and the only person who doesn't have any face-saving to do now, is Trump! From an outsiders point of view I initially thought Trump was a joke, but i did my research and what struck me most, watching old chat show appearances on YouTube, is that everybody asks him if he would ever run for president. and he always said he would run if things "got so bad". His demeanour here always reminded me of the old saying..."the only good leader, is a reluctant one". Personally, i think Trump could turn out to be the president you ever had :-D

It's kind of you to ask about my thoughts. However, I'm extremely pessimistic about what a Trump presidency bodes for the future. Since that seems like it doesn't match well with your view, it's probably not necessary for me to share my thoughts about it right here. There wouldn't be much point to a clash of opinion. After all, time will tell. Thank you, though.

I inquired out of genuine interest, knowing that this isn't your choice since you always have well thought out answers. I am not a keyboard warrior looking to bait another into a clash, but one that realizes there is usually something to learn through civil discourse. Not everything is black or white. I totally understand and respect your reply.

i was a big fan of Channel 4 news in the UK for the longest time, i thought they were unbiased, completely fair in their coverage until one day a friend "challenged" me to get my news from RT...for one month. i did. and i am so glad i did. :-D try it, like the meme says...

Agreed. Best there is for all countries except if you are Russian, living in russia, and knows no English. It's the same in all Imperialistic states, their own media tries to dumb down the people.

Even though the US media isn't run by the government it still tries to dumb down the people. And it works for those who only listen to the carefully edited sound brights designed, not to provide information, but to push an agenda. Fortunately we have the option of other news sources. But too many of us just take what's fed to us by the mainstream media at face value.
