Thanks. :) I had it on my list for quite a while so it wasn't funny to me anymore. But then I thought, what the heck I'll post it. I'm surprised it got this far. :O

It's always the ones you don't think will do well that make it the furthest. It's crazy how this site works!!

Yeah, nice work. You don't see too many pie charts make it to the front page. I think they get categorized as "other", which has a negative impact on their visibility. Way to go! :D

Thank you :) How to those meme tags work? Where is there a search bar on this site to look up memes of different topics? I was always confused by that.

You are going to be sorry you asked... (I'm having to split this into multiple comments, as the comment field appears to have a 2500 character limit)...

You bet. And yes, it is confusing. I still don't have it all straight in my mind. I actually had some brief correspondence with ImgFlip via email, on the tags topic. I'm still waiting for some clarification. Part of the confusion is that the word “meme” is used on the site in two distinct ways – in one sense, to refer to a meme template, and in a second sense, to refer to an actual meme creation (the output of a meme template). This is further complicated by the fact that, in addition to “creations,” we also have “submissions” and “featured submissions.” If a creation is a meme, then these will also be memes. However, a creation need not be a meme (e.g. it could be a pie chart instead).
In any case, the only search functionality that I know of is the “meme search” (it's in two different locations, but appears to be the same search). To be clear, this functionality searches on meme templates, rather than meme submissions. The results of a search are broken down into "featured memes" and “user templates.” If you select a “featured meme” (or, less ambiguously, a featured/site template) you get a list of featured submissions that were created using that template. Selecting a “user template” will take you to a page where you can “Caption this Meme,” or return to “All Meme Templates.” If you choose to caption the meme, you are taken to the meme-maker. This page will also include a list of featured memes (or, less ambiguously, featured meme submissions) based on the template, if there are any.

Thank you. :) I never knew I could click on the tags. It would be nice to have a search bar to view featured memes by topic, in addition to the search for meme templates. Or maybe a drop down menu listing the most used tags. (I'm commenting here to keep your comments in order.)

You bet. Glad there was something educational here for you :) And although it's not ideal in terms of searching, if you click the Edit button on one of your meme creations (the button will be available unless the meme has been submitted and featured), you get the ability to add/remove tags. This field will present a drop-down list, showing all of the valid tags that "match" the text you have typed so far. As such, it is a way to find tags, and then once they are added to your creation (just click the Update button), search on them by clicking them. Note that a meme cannot have more than 6 tags at once, and you cannot create new tags, or otherwise add a tag that doesn't exist. This means that you also cannot search on a tag that doesn't exist. Hopefully ImgFlip is hard at work, adding some of these features :)

THANKS TO GHOSTOFCHURCH FOR JUST MAKING ME AWARE OF THIS! Apparently, you CAN add custom tags. Just type in the name of the tag that you want, and press Enter. The tag will get added, and you can continue with adding/removing tags. Note that, if you have typed in a tag, but have not yet pressed Enter in order to add it to the meme, clicking Update will NOT add that tag. In any case, this means you can effectively "search" on any text string, simply by first adding it to a meme as a tag. My sincere apologies for the incorrect info! Enjoy!

Regarding the tags, it seems that clicking on a tag will pull up a list of featured submissions which include that tag. This is what we would expect. Generally, the list will read "Images tagged <tag name>." When you create a new meme using a featured/site template, the meme will automatically include a tag which is equivalent to the template's title (e.g. a meme created with the “Confession Bear” template will automatically include a "confession bear" tag). If you click this tag, you will actually get the list of memes created with that template (rather than a list of “Images tagged <tag name>”).
One thing I need to try is creating a meme with a site template, removing the default “template tag”, and then after submitting it and it getting featured, checking to see if it gets returned when the corresponding template tag is clicked (in this case, from another submission, which still includes the tag). Then we would know if the list is based on the tag, or on the template that was used. The indication so far is that the list is based on the template, not the tag.

You’ll also notice a couple of other, “special” tags: “memes” (highlighted in green), “gifs” (highlighted in fuchsia), and “funny” (highlighted in yellow – appears by default on pie charts). Interestingly, “memes” and “gifs,” when clicked, will take you to the main page, and present the corresponding list of featured submissions. “Funny,” however, which does not correspond to any “submission type,” is treated like any other tag (returning a list of featured submissions which have that tag). But here’s something interesting I discovered (and which I contacted ImgFlip about): You’ll observe that any meme created from a user template does not include the “memes” tag by default. If you want the meme to have that tag, you must add it manually. However, regardless of whether or not the meme has the “memes” tag, it is still considered “other,” in terms of its “submission type.” This means that the meme’s appearance in the main page list is based exclusively on whether or not the “other” filter is checked. So, in other words, the list filters are based on this “submission type” value, rather than on the tags.

Anyway, sorry for the dissertation :P This is just stuff I’ve been wondering about and researching (I create a lot of custom submissions, and so had a vested interest in the "memes" tag doing what I expected it to do. Sadly, it is not able to save my custom submissions from oblivion). Thanks for reading!

Oh my gosh! Just a couple weeks ago a young Walmart worker had way too many carts attached to one of those motorized cart mules. The carts got away from him and I stopped the "train" of carts from going into the cars. He re-added them to the long line and the carts in the middle bowed out towards the cars again. Just then another worker came to help him. My son worked at Menards for a while and they are very strict with how many carts the workers can push at one time.
