Yeah, why is it required for everyone to have health insurance?
reply
0 ups, 1 reply
so that they can bankroll people with high risk to have insurance (also the reason for these multi-thousand dollar deductables), and medicaid people who don't/can't buy insurance on their own (no job, etc.)

Obama will go down in history as the 'Roy Finkle' of American Politics.
reply

Do you mean Ray Finkle, from Pet Detective? And does his race even have anything to do with his failures?

Yeah, I meant Ray Finkle. Damn auto correct!

At least the next time there won't be the big rush to vote for the least experienced and least qualified candidate so we could all prove how open minded we were.

I would contend that the enormous field helped trump, and on the democrat side, well we all knew who's turn it was.

I think if someone gets nominated for the candidacy, that means regardless of how much that person is hated, that person received the most support from his/her respective party. However, I agree with you when it comes to Hillary.

I'm not arguing his legitimacy, I'm simply stating that the large field worked to his favor and he played it like a champ.

States had sovereignty up until the Civil War. While there were many benefits (of course, the freeing of the slaves, for one) to the Civil War, establishing the federal government's dominion over the states was a downside.

Did I say that?
What made me throw up in my mouth a little bit when I saw this meme was that it is obviously the right that is trying to block affordable care, so the fact that the memer was complaining about it is very ironic/hypocritical.
I wasn't referring to a single party on race relations though. It takes two sides to tango, and both BLM and ALM are equal parts of the problem.

Yet your comment only blamed one side. Affordable health care has hurt more than it helped. You may be lucky enough to not have the 4-5 digit yearly deductibles that are keeping many more away from Doctors than those that did not have healthcare. The act that was passed was pushed through without anyone having read it, including the speaker of the house who was pushing it. There was no effort to reach across for that, it was Barry's, Nancy's and Harry's way or the highway, setting the terms and conditions for the last 8 years.
As for BLM, our president convicted the officer in Ferguson without knowing any details and before the investigation was even complete. I could have forgiven the error had he owned it and stated "hands up don't shoot" never happened. Instead he has continued to do the same, in Baltimore and this past week.

This past week an innocent guy was thrown to the ground, shot twice while pinned down, and shot four more times. Can you blame him for choosing the side he did?
I blame one side, you blame one side, and your comment also had a slightly aggravated edge to it. Are you tired of having a Liberal naysayer around here?

A parolee, a convicted felon who commits another felony when he brandishes brandished a firearm resulting in the call. He then resists arrest. The video does not show what he was doing with his right hand during the scuffle. I am willing to let the investigation play out before convicting the cops based on those facts. Innocent is not a good word to use in the case, but if you feel that you must... convicted felon vs. police with clean records. I choose to lean with the innocent until proven otherwise.

The ACA only benefited the insurance companies.

Imagine that.

I went from a expensive, high deductible plan with minimal coverage, to a great plan with $5/$20/$100 co-pays, low deductible for only $50 for a family of 4.

This year the penalty is $650, and with the cheapest tier available ($50 per month), it would save you $50 per year PLUS have health insurance. Why would you NOT do that??? Do those people only want to clog up the ERs and stick the taxpayer with the bill? And if so, why do you support that?
