Yeah, its kind of hard to get the word out. There were a few submissions referencing it and one announcing it.

I had no idea about any demotivational week... is it because I wasn't here much last week?

You probably missed the memes mentioning it, there is nothing official but some users like to do things like this for fun and encourage others to join in. We did a "Y U No guy" weekend a several weeks back. If you see an unusual trend in submissions, don't be afraid to ask in comments :)

I also think Wiley_Quixote should get a mention. He's been making memes on demotivational templates for months upon months (long before "demotivational week"). I wouldn't be surprised if he keeps doing so.
