1) This is in England, and before the attacks in Orlando
2) Most Islamic peoples are just normal people

Don't see what's so hard to understand here.

The irony.

You know, saying "the irony" and not elaborating doesn't mean anything. If the irony was obvious (or even there) you wouldn't have to elaborate. Now, tell me how this is ironic.

The irony is here in the States a Muslim man whose parents immigrated from Afghanistan just the other day went into a gay club in Orlando and murdered 49 and wounded 53 (the numbers may be changing, as of this morning they were still identifying victims and many of the dead were still in the club waiting to be identified). So this photo from the UK shows a demonstration of people who are apparently gay marching for tolerance for Muslims. The irony is, the Quran teaches that homosexuality is a sin punishable by death. That death was administered in Orlando recently. That's the irony. By the way, London's new Muslim mayor just made sexy women adverts illegal. What's up with that?
4 ups, 8y
The parents have nothing to do with the shooting.
Just because Muslims believe homosexuality is wrong doesn't mean they will act upon the Quran. Some do, most don't. And Homosexual people have been treated as freaks and outcasts for a very long time, so seeing it happen to another group would spark feelings of anger. They know what Muslim people are going through.
The photo is still from before the Orlando shooting. They had no idea at the time any of this was going to happen. One unstable man went nuts and killed many. One man does not encompass the entirety of humanity. Therefore, one Muslims actions do not dictate the entirety of Muslims.

You can't hate someone for their beliefs just because they're not your beliefs. It may seem extreme to you, but their people have been living that way for centuries, and they don't see anything wrong with it, so why should you?

That is a terrible reason. If my culture was to murder one person every month, it would not be tolerated. A GOOD reason to respect someones' beliefs is that they a), don't force it upon you, and b), do not do any illegal or otherwise rude/aggressive action because of their beliefs.

Well I was talking about Islam, and Islam is something that meets your standards, so you shouldn't hate them.

Hold on a moment. What is I S L A M? I speak English. Now, the whole reason it's so confusing is you use the most non-specific words possible, then get defensive when people don't understand. What are you, a politician?
2 ups, 8y
I'm confused by your level of stupidity, please just stop replying so I don't get notifications from things not worth replying to.

Excuse me. This is a meme website, for having fun - if you'd like to discuss politics, do it on a POLITICAL forum. Thank you and no offense - all of your memes are great.

My point is not that all or most Muslims believe that, but only that it is the Muslim belief to believe that, and so therefore those who are Muslim and don't believe that are of a split off and not the core. (Sharia law, that is)

No liberal thinks that terrorist attacks are something we should take likely, nor that all of Islam is peaceful. I am a liberal who lives among other liberals, and really, none of us are Christianaphobes. Octavia knows what I'm talking about.

When people claim that Christian doctrine should only be allowed to come out of someones mouth when inside a church or when in seminary, and that when Christians speak of their faith in public it is offensive and hate speech and should not be allowed... they are being Christianaphobes. Either that or they just hate freedom, you choose. :P

I am aware that that is what a Christianophobe is (I realized I was supposed to spell it with an "o" there instead of an "a").

Oops... maybe I should spell check sometime. XD

Gays against islamophobia makes as much sense as Jews for National Socialism
2 ups, 8y
They have no issues with addressing Islamic terrorist attacks, but they do with blaming ALL of Islam. Not just true Islam, but all types.
1 up, 8y
... You do realize that's a stereotype, right? That Jewish people are greedy?

It is a courageous person who stands up for the rights of religious extremists who have targeted you specifically for death because of your sexual orientation.

Well not necessarily... If those in the protest are supporting the tolerant/moderate Muslims, then it should be fine. One of my Muslim friends has a gay friend (they are not in a relationship though). It's another story if they are protesting for equality for the radical extremists.

Ahh... Now here's the rub... If any of the shooter's friends knew of his extremism, they sure were silent about it. And if he wasn't an extremist until something in him "snapped", then does that mean any person of moderate beliefs can morph suddenly into an extremist killing jihad machine! And if so, then why?

I believe the father admitted that his son has said many anti-gay stuff in the past. I'm not sure if he shared this info with anyone else though. From what I heard, the parents seems to be very sorry that this shooting happened. They do not seem like extremists at all, the parents.
3 ups, 8y
The father has said a number of conflicting things:
