I can understand why some feel this way.
But as if the opposite is any better
EX: A student in a Sunni Islamic University in Kala Lumpur, Malaysia, is listening to his teachers current lecture on an issue. The Professor is mostly conservative Muslim Sunni. Just as he stops talking, the student raises his hand, and asks: "How can you be so sure that your source is both historically and scientifically accurate?" He gives a counter-example, and almost immediately, the Professor/Imam angrily accuses him of committing "heresy" and "spreading corruption." The Student balks at such accusations as bunk and is sent to the principals office for "misbehaving".
