For someone who is so critical of others who do not share your politics, I found it quite amusing to look at your latest meme which you found necessary to click "Comments Disabled"....

Sadly, vBackman, 'comments disabled' is a tactic used by those who cannot defend what they claim. Which is a claim without proof, usually.

Oh, it's also used by those who do not have a fundamental belief in freedom of speech.

I think those two points pretty much sum up the liberals here on the mighty imgflip.

I disable comments on most memes because most conservatives here don't want an honest dialogue. They are very dishonest.

It's all about perspective. Are you young and inexperienced? It seems that you are on the wrong side of pretty much every issue.

Wow! I hope the mods can read that as clearly as anyone with objectivity can.

And here I thought, certainly based on my own experience, that as imgflip users we're not allowed to insult other users. Saying vBackman ("Back man") seems to me to be insulting to vBackman. I think an objective mod might agree.

But I wouldn't worry too much if I were you, pl. I speculate that the rate at which liberals are given timers for doing precisely what you just did is pretty low compared to when a Trump supporter does it. I think this because I've been given timers when I have not said anything negative in a comment. Usually it's the truth that is mis-interpreted as being negative.

I would challenge you on that cheesy, because I think it's easily provable that you do not truly believe in freedom of speech as a core value. Disabling comments... yes, that's the tactic the left uses to promote freedom of speech, the free exchange of ideas without fear of being cancelled or worse.

With some experience and hopefully wisdom, you'll realize that the democrat party isn't actually aligned with your beliefs. They'll lie to you and tell you that they are. Meanwhile most of what they do flies in the face of those beliefs.

I'd suggest you read 'The Twitter Files' by very liberal journalist Matt Taibbi for all the details you should already know about how dems love to suppress freedom of speech. And I didn't put quotes around journalist, because unlike most media today, and I fear media you trust, he is an actual journalist. He cares about the truth, whether some would categorize it as left or right. The truth is the truth, and Taibbi not only knows it, he lives it professionally.

When I was young, say 19 to my late 20's, I thought the dem party was more in line with my beliefs than the republicans. I'm still not convinced about the republicans, but I know 100% that the democrats aren't. They lied to me for so many years, and then, thanks to Trump, they were and are still being exposed for the hypocrites that they are. Those values you have... they're core to what MAGA believes and you can tell because they walk the walk. Dems only talk the talk.

We don't have to look any further back than what the Biden administration tried to do to the right (republicans, conservatives, even libertarians and certainly MAGA) to suppress free speech in social media, legacy media, actually any media. Certainly that included covid. Maybe you were young enough to not care, but during covid anyone simply saying something like,' let's talk about your position that kids need the covid vaccine...' would be cancelled fast, or worse, doxxed, etc.

And for goodness sake, their claim to "follow the science" was 100% antithetical to the core of what the scientific method is, which is skepticism, free exchange of ideas, research, etc. What they were pushing back then was blind faith in their version of the truth, which was intended to only give them more power. I don't; buy that bullshit from anyone, and that includes not buying it from MAGA.

Disabling comments on my memes is not taking away anybody's freedom of speech because I'm not stopping them from saying whatever they want on other memes. If I were to shut down their account or something like that, that would be suppressing their speech.
